He who doth protest too loudly...
Anyway, I'm just jealous that you've been anywhere. I've been in Hemel Hempstead. And it, as the kids say, is LONG.
AND I still want to know what party it was I missed on Saturday.

Haven't quite identified where that quote came from? But I don't think I was anywhere either that day...

To the O2 to see K's choir singing with all the other littlies! I went to support my daughter (who has put in a lot of hard work ) and wouldn't ordinarily have wanted to go to something like this, and especially wouldn't want to see Stacey Solomon (who was also singing, amongst others) but it was actually quite a good show.
Journey from HELL both ways though (accidents both ways on M25 and M11, pelting down rain, yuk.)

Lally did that a couple of times, although I only went to watch the first time. It was at the NIA and the seating is so steep there that your feet are under your chair because the row in front is so close. I was in such pain from keeping my knees bent that I refused to go the next year. I was very relieved when the audience did a Mexican wave, just for the chance to stand up for a couple of seconds! Finding your child again afterwards was total chaos too as they came out of a different door. Not a pleasant experience all told.

Well, I couldn't complain about the seating (which was fine) I'm just glad that I wasn't sitting where K was - right up at the TOP. They actually warned people not to go if they suffered from vertigo!!

Challenged just doesn't go close enough.
Cancelled Virgin tv/broadband/landline package and they cancelled it a month early. At the same time my mobile decided to play up again so that had to go back. (Spare phone in the tin tent) and then OH launched his mobilly into the loo accidentally and his spare is in the tin tent as well. We can get back in there tomorrow.
However, I've just got a "3" 30 day rolling contract mobile dongle, installed it and hey presto here I am. I did (and still have!) a Virgin mobile broadband dongle which has always worked perfectly in the tin tent but it doesn't like my house! Never tried it out at home before because I had virgin broadband.
Got my mobilly back this morning and the first phone call I made to Scurra cut off immediately. Second one worked though. Don't think its fixed somehow and this contract doesn't run out until September.

I spent this morning trying to resurrect an old mobile as a spare PAYG for F to take away with him at half term. He is going skiing with school, and doesn't want to take his fancy phone, but needs to be able to call us to tell us what time the coach is due back at school. If the plane is delayed I don't want to be hanging around at midnight! I think I have got it working, but I'm not altogether sure how to work it as it used to belong to K, so it took quite a lot of messing around and texting K to get the password just to get into it!
I have heard people say they have had problems with Virgin, although we can't get it here, so haven't tried it myself.
