Because you can't buy scarlet red or royal blue ones?
Or maybe it's because you can, but it's a lot cheaper to buy them white and paint them?
Some people might just like scarlet red or royal blue doors.

Is there a prize for guessing the right answer?

He deserves some fun, he's obviously worked hard to get such good results.

So pleased to hear the news. :D

The same reason that I painted our bannister spindles dark green? I must admit that I must be significantly in the minority, I hate "neutral." If I had my way, I'd have more bright colours, although maybe not red or navy blue...

I sometimes watch those programmes where people buy houses at auction, then do them up, stripping out every piece of individuality, and painting everything within sight BEIGE, then every single soft furnishing is CREAM. I'd hate to live somewhere like that, No soul.

But then I am a contrary person. When we do any decoration (which is about every 20 years or so in this house  ) I deliberately ask in the shops what is in fashion. Then I make a point of buying something else.

Loved this - it sort of reminded me of platform 9 and 3/4's....

....stressed :(

The person I work for/with has left the company wef today. I found out yesterday. She was in for part of yesterday and again for a couple of hours this morning. So I had to work on my day off and have been trying to do the parts of her work which have to be done each day as well as learning from her as much as possible about all the other things she has managed for years. Including a crash course on the payroll system which she couldn't show me in full as August was already done and we can't do September yet.

I'm totally mentally exhausted and have no idea how next week will pan out. Let alone the following couple of weeks when a key member of the department is on holiday and the woman who left is the only other person who knows how to do his job!

Oh happy days!
