I've got a cough and cold that's been with me since Christmas, and last couple of days has hit hard again, with flu-like symptoms.

So this pie, are you just going to quote 3.14..etc to a few dozen decimal places or are you really going to cook rabbit in pastry?

.....trying out my new soup maker. Feeling thoroughly traumatised just by reading the instruction booklet.

I have always used a pan, but all my friends have been raving about soup makers so I gave in and asked for one for my birthday.

I hadn't heard of soup makers until your post.....and then wondered whether this is the new bread maker type trend.....and then wondered whether anyone has come up with a combined bread and soup maker? Perhaps I should patent the idea?

More fun travelling some how ....and wondering whether it was the boy pilot who wimped out last week....the plane managed to land in atrocious weather in Gib. Which at first seemed good news .....but they then announced damage due to the landing....so "rescue plane" their words despatched from the UK to Malaga to get us to the Uk.... So another unexpected trip to Malaga

Was quite disappointed with the rescue plane as it didn't look like any of the Thunderbirds!!!

Still made it back safely if a tad late

Anyway, whoever you are that is casting spells and jinxes on my department, please stop it. 2 weeks ago one of our TAs had a perforated stomach ulcer and is still in hospital (poor girl's only 24!) The day before yesterday, another one had a car crash and now has a whiplash injury (and if signed off.) Today, another one fell down the stairs and has seriously dislocated her ankle and is having an operation tomorrow. What is occurring?? :? I'm starting to get a bit nervous!

...Now really worried. Am I in some sort of sickness loaded parallel universe? Found myself SIMULTANEOUSLY trying to deal with a student having a grand mal seizure and another one fainting!

On a lighter note (well, if you think that listening to someone telling year 7s all about witch trials and reading them a horror story in the dark lighter! ) I got to watch a presentation from William Hussey, author of the Witchfinder serieshttp://www.williamhussey.co.uk/ today. Interesting!
