World Cup Charts

For those who are going to be eagerly viewing the football action in 'Sith Efrica', I have produced these handy charts to print out and fill in.
The reason for there being two charts is straightforward - the 'a' chart is colour-coded, and the 'b' chart is black and white (to be coloured if you want to).
The 'a' chart also has an extra feature - filling in the tables puts the top two teams in the correct places on the 'Knockout' page.

And I haven't forgotten those who have difficulty opening Excel sheets.
I've also got the same charts available in Word format: the Group Stage has had to be put in a separate file as it's landscape and the other two are portrait.

well I'll thank you anyway! That'll save me hunting round the web to find something to use.
Since I'm the one my office will be expected to keep everyone up to date on what's happening, I'll thank you on behalf of them as well.

Actually, CW, this HAS proved useful. My daughter is using your list to design a lesson on data collection and is using the world cup countries' flags / matches to do it. Thanks. :D

Thanks for these Cenwulf. I have been filling in the details every evening. And now when my OH asks questions about the progress/likely outcome on the group stages, or even about what matches are on when, I have all the answers at my fingertips! :D

I've discovered an error. It's in the Knockout stages of version A.
The formula entered at D8 reads '=(Tables!B16)' where it should actually read '=(Tables!B15)'. If uncorrected it would result in the second team in Group E appearing twice and the Group winner not at all.

And as for the switch in the first two Group B games, that happened after I did the tables: I was working from a listing which appeared in January.

As long as no-one's saying I'm a doozy.

The trouble is that whether I like it or not almost all of all the matches will be watched in our house. And I will be in a minority next week when my son gets home from Uni so I might as well show some interest. Even at work today a colleague who was chatting to someone in our Basel office turned to the expert (me :!: ) when asked when the next England match was.

Au revoir la France! :D
