I'm just going through some of my Mum's stuff and have found about 20 albums of stamps. They are from all over the world and there are specific collections she has made such as Charles and Diana wedding commemorative stamps (yuk) but also some really beautiful ones featuring birds and flowers. There are also a number of albums of first day covers.

I know SFA about stamps. Can anyone advise me what the best way to get them valued / sold is please? I'm worried that if I take them to a local shop to be valued, and leave them there for them to look at some of the more valuable ones could go walkabout and I would never know.

Put them in a specialist auction?
