I've just sent in a request to Classic fm to play a piece of music for Puzzlebrains. You never know!! :D

What do you think? Mind you I'm not that happy at the moment, I'm CLEANING.
My daughter spent about 3 hours in the kitchen last night and decorating cakes to take into school today, and making gallons of rum raisin and ginger fudge. She DIDN'T have time to clear up the scene of devastation she left behind...

So did they play it Bunny? And what was it you requested? I'd have gone for the enigma variations!

No, they haven't yet. But apparently they carry over requests for a few days so there's still some hope. I didn't request anything relevant, just something I like. :D

Told you before my little rabbit friend,
log on to salfordcityradio.org any Thursday between 11.00 and 13.00 when I am on live and I will play a request for you --GUARANTEED!!! Might not be the one requested as we don't have the resources of the BBC, but will do my best and at least there will be the mention.

The Sunday Classics Show 9.00 to 10.00 I do is pre recorded (on Thursday afternoon) so a request is likely to be the following week.
If anyone is listening in the Salford Area we are on 94.4 f.m.

Web site to listen -- email for requests or comments studio@salfordcityradio.org

OK folks - I'm REALLY hoping I will actually be able to listen to this on Thursday (knowing my luck I'll be called off to do something unpleasant like cover a class), but my INTENTION is to be listening this Thursday in my office. If anyone else is about, have a listen! :D

OK here's the bad news, Brian. I can't make any of the ways listed on the website to play Salford radio work on my school pc (I don't have administrator priveleges so I can't download any of the programmes to play it). Hey ho. But if anyone is able to listen maybe Brian could give PB a mention anyway! :)

I sneaked into the last 15 minutes of the show as well. He sounds good :) I'll try and keep links to this when I'm on my computer bus.

And me. It was a woman reading the news and then one piece of music. :( Mind you I wouldn't have been able to listen earlier even if I had managed to make the computer work. I got collared to go and do a maths test with my boss' son who started at our school today.) :x

Thank you anyway Brian! Sorry I never actually got to hear you!

Interesting -- very interesting!!

The News comes 'down the line' to us dead on the hour every hour from Independent Radio News, we then put the local news on - prepared in house by a male voice. Sounds like you got the wrong station somehow.

I did have problems today, we all run the programme ourselves unless some panic happens, there is the mixing desk with controls for three Mikes, two CD players, four loads from a PC, outside telephone line and news download. Two Computors one running all the time with a programme called Myriad which has all the jingles, station ID's, Adverts, sound effects and all the stations music collection. The other one I use to monitor e Mails (Text messages come in as Emails) and have a look at any website I might want. I was on the Puzzlebrain site and tried to find the frog song on the other PC whilst watching the countdown on the CD playing, unfortunately I managed to crash the machine with Myriad on it, this loses all sorts of things and we have notices everywhere threatening summary and instant death to anyone who switches this machine off. I had to dash out of the studio and grab the station manager to fix the d....d thing whilst continuing to sound happy and in full control on air. So if any of you heard my comments about 'senior moments' that was what was happening.
We don't have the frog song on our system unless that is not its official title.
But thanks for those of you who listened or attempted to listen always nice to see a friendly name or nom du plume on the magic machine. Clvrlad emailed to me as well - thanks mate -- I did try to find the request -- honest!!!!

It's a real shame I couldn't listen. Now if you had a show on a FRIDAY then I could!! Sounds like good old s*d and his law are in operation once again. Anyway, that sounds like a nightmare to operate all that stuff at once Brian! I take my hat off to you.
