I'm sure there must be one of these already, but I can't find it!
I just had a phone call from the piano teacher to say that Kingsley has passed her Grade 8 piano with DISTINCTION.
Very proud Mummy here. Kingsley is slightly stunned, and would like to buy the examiner a hearing aid for Christmas.

Many many congratulations, Kingsley, that's absolutely fantastic.

Well done Kingsley. And let me be the first to say that I am not so surprised

From everything we have heard about your progress, we know how gifted you are and that success comes from lots of hard work and practice! What a great achievement to have under your belt - and just in time for Christmas too! I am copying this as a direct PM to you in the hope that Mum will tell you to go and look there instead of just getting it second hand through her.....

Wow! Kingsley that is truly impressive! I know just how hard it is to get distinctions at any grade, particularly grade 8. Very well done!!!

I remember the struggle I had (about a hundred years ago) to scrape past my Grade 5. That is fantastic news Kingsley, I'm pleased for you and still look forward to hearing you play.
Keep up the good work, but most importantly keep
enjoying your music.

<<<< Happy for you

Cue repeat of old joke: Well I studied the piano for six years. Then I said "Yes, that's a piano."
Add my congratulations to the list - brilliant achievement.

That is an absolutely amazing achievement Kingsley, be very very proud of yourself, as well as your mum being proud of you. In fact, I'm sure we all are!

Fantastic! I'm so envious
