swore I would never watch this! BUT watched it and had tears running down my cheeks.
The dress was beautiful.

I felt the same and it was so magical. I truly wish them a happy ever after! There was a huge street party in our street and the pub on the corner put up a large screen outside and all the elderly residents sat outside and watched the wedding whilst drinking tea! A brilliant day.

Almost impossible to avoid since this event flooded all live media - so I took refuge in work on the computer and entertainment from YouTube. Sorry ladies, but other people's weddings don't spark any interest in me.

We watched. I'm totally not into celebs ( when they hand me an ok magazine at the hairdressers I'm lucky if I've heard of 2 people in it) but I thought it was a lovely service, and nice to have a bit of patriotism on display. I just hope they are allowed to get on with their lives without being chased around by the press.

We escaped for a lovely day out onto Dartmoor and the roads on the way were certainly quieter than usual at this time of year.... but we were not alone! There were quite a lot of walkers taking advantage of a nice quiet day - and a party of people practising rock-climbing on Hay Tor.
It's not so much the wedding as such that we wanted to avoid, but all that awful gushing over it which seems to be universal. When it comes down to it, underneath it all they are just like anyone else, and it is their own day much more than anyone else's. I really wish them well - and yes, she did look absolutely gorgeous (well, he's not so bad, either

).......

There was a lot less gushing than I expected from the commentators although there was one woman with curly hair in the studio, who was driving me mad with her inane comments, and the "Yay! It's Mcqueen" that escaped over the air as she got out of the carriage rather spoiled the moment.

watched it in between cooking and sanding my new pew (well it's old really, bt new to me). Catching up on line with the papers today and just watched the verger cartwheeling down the aisle after all the guests had left very amusing.
Weren't some of the fashions awful (or am I just out of touch), Victoria Beckhams shoes, I would have broken an ankle before I left home

I managed to put on red, white and blue clothes without thinking about it ...
I enjoyed the television coverage. The most important thing was bitching about some of the outfits, of course!
And it made me all gooey thinking about my own wedding [dewey-eyed smiley here]

Well I sort of had a bit of enforced watching of the royal wedding because one of my girlfriends I was supposed to be going away with insisted on going in to London to see it for herself...

so while I was waiting for her to return with my bags all packed ready to go away I sat and watched it. I'm not a big lover of celebrity weddings or any of that old hype, but I do wish them well. And yes, she did look very pretty (but FAR TOO THIN).
