Snow may be a hazard on the roads for drivers but at my age all it is for a good excuse not to go to school

I agree Tricia, it all looks very beautiful but with at least 8 inches of the stuff I am not attempting to drive anywhere. It's very frustrating as I have lots to do and I can't work from home so will just have to catch up when I can.
And Fernando - enjoy it!

Well! I have now seen everything.
As per the other thread our road is pretty bad although the main roads are clear. So bad that cars have been sliding all over all day. The road has now been blocked off just past our drive.
Guess what with? Snow!!! There is a 3 foot mound from one side of the road to the other. So now instead of cars sliding past us we will more than likely have them piling up in front of us instead. I've already lost half of my fence- I'll lay odds on the other half going before noon tomorrow.
The update on the flight situation is OH went to East Midlands instead of me and got there without problems. The down side is the flight was delayed and while they have landed they are not through the doors yet. And the snow has started again.......................

I hope they all get home Ok Gill. And that you have lots of fun in the snow tomorrow. If my boss decides he can get to work tomorrow we will work out where I can walk to for him to pick me up. I doubt I'll be able to drive out of my road this week. I haven't heard a car anywhere near us all day.

Gill - I hope they get back without too much more trouble. What a nightmare!!
My daughter has just phoned to say that they have a whole FOOT of snow. (She actually took her ruler out and stuck it in the snow on the garden table). Good job she only has stupid shoes with heels or that aren't waterproof then, isn't it??

Oh and son now has snow, even in deepest Cornwall!! (He had blue skies and sun earlier on). I am delighted to say that I have another day off tomorrow. Whoopee!

I may have to go out and show the children how to build a proper snowman. Yesterday's efforts were a bit puny considering how much snow was available. (Mind you I think most was used up on snowball fights).
It looks like it has thawed a bit overnight, but still plenty out there.
Mr Puny has fallen flat on his face overnight, so definitely needs replacing.

They wouldn't let me make a snow giraffe, they said it had to be a snow MAN!
