Just read Thursday's newspaper. I hope you weren't involved in the helicopter accident. I know its your area.
Let us know you are O.K.
Thinking of you.

Thanks for all who have shown concern for my well being. I'm well and kicking. Sorry I did not reply earlier but have been busy over the last few days and was not on the site much and did not notice this post. That is the helicopters that I use to get back and forth so it is a bit scary but I'm one of those that think that if it's going to happen then it's going to happen and worrying about it is a waste of time. A good friend of my son, who also works offshore, was on that flight and he phoned his wife to say that he thought Leighton was on the helicopter but that they were all ok. She did not know anything about it so he was a bit upset that he was the one breaking the news. Still everything went well and they were very lucky.
Again, thanks to all and it just shows what a fine bunch of people I am lucky enough to be aquainted with.
Jim

Glad you're ok and all those that were on the helicopter are ok.

Glad to hear you are OK and that the rest of the guys all got back in one piece.
Not the ideal place to go for a swim in February.
Having been to a rig once -- I am surprised that there aren't more accidents, that landing space is TINY and it looks even smaller when you are coming down on to it!

This is why I tend to be more supportive of the so-called "Health and Safety Police" than some other people are

All of the precautions that are taken to minimise incidents like this turn out to be absolutely worthwhile when something does "go wrong" - and casualties are kept to a minimum as a result! (What I tend to complain about is when things are blamed on "Health and Safety" as a convenient scapegoat, or, alternatively it is used as an excuse to introduce precautions that serve no purpose and are often opposed by the actual Health & Safety people...)
Anyway, glad to hear you're OK and that everyone involved was OK too. Thanks for letting us know.

I can't find a health and safety warning anywhere in the Puzzlebrains magazine.

Health and Safety Warning: Attempting the puzzles in Puzzlebrains Magazine may seriously damage your sanity - unless it's already too late.

I don't like looking on a thread on which you are expecting a reply or a hint which says it has a new post, getting all excited and then finding out someone has wasted my time posting smileys.

So we just have to cope with this. At least you can tell it's a spoiler and not just think it is a blank post!
