Street games

#1 Post by Redfraggle » Sat Feb 25, 2012 5:51 pm

Hi all

I've been away working my socks off getting the little book and DVD produced. I now have them and will post a copy to anyone who would like one.

Please PM me with your address and I'll post them to you.

Can I just clarify - these books and DVDs are free to you all - you all supported me throughout this process. Thank you all. :D

Sparkout, Eirian and Gill are all of paramount importance in this project - they all did their bit and helped me get to this point. So a huge thank you must go to them.

Looking forward to this. You should be really proud of yourself. Well done! And, can I just say, how brilliantly supportive people on here are - good on you Eirian, SparkOut and Gill for helping out as well. I think it's wonderful that people on here just have to be asked and they'll do all sorts for you. What a wonderful set of people we have on here. :D

you've done (and are still doing) such an amazing job on this fascinating project. I've not done much - it's good to be able to use my skills for a project like this rather than just tedious leases!

I'm really looking forward to the launch!

I haven't seen it yet but I'd like a copy please. Or have you lost my address again
And as for help, I did nothing other than give you a contact so I'm not having any credit coming my way

 Gill your contact was a star - but im sure he never wants to hear from me ever again. He probably told you about all the mishaps

To explain I only sent Gill wedding pics at Christmas  I lost her address - for about the 20th time :?

Sieve head seems an appropriate description for me!

Ok Sievehead. I never got the wedding pics. I thought you'd forgotten the address again but I wasn't concerned . I just expected them to turn up one time sometime. Perhaps I should have been concerned.?

As for the mishaps. There were probably more than you know about   Glad that Jonny came out as a star. I give him full credit for the sorting the last mishap. I.e no-one could be definite if they were on the ferry so he got a printer 1/2 a mile away to print up some copies there and then. I believe you then raced around the corner to collect them? Did the full order arrive when it should have done?

This was Jonny's first official order as new owner. He reckoned if he could get through and find solutions then he was set for life. No, he doesn't ever want to repeat the experience but he'd be happy to have you back any time. You taught him loads!!!!

Are you kidding?  I posted you a Christmas Card with several wedding pics inside it. I think there were 7 pics. I posted Bunny a card too at the same time. Did Bunny get a card? OK, now Im quite *&%$$£ angry. I was told last year off the record that thousands of letters didn't get mailed because of bad weather - but this time there was no excuse.

As for all the mishaps that happened - it wasn't Johnny's fault at all. He was a star. He got me 10 emergency books printed in time for a press meeting. I thought they were good until I saw the real thing - they are top quality! It seems a box must've exploded on the way. It was marked 'Resealed by National Distribution centre'. When I opened them 32 were missing and several more damaged. But that wasn't Johnny's fault either - but that's where the mystery box went. I didn't tell him that bit - I thought I would give him a breakdown

you will be glad to know that mine has just arrived. Really looking forward to reading it. It's v.interesting to see how much there was in common with the games I used to play - but then, I grew up in Liverpool and the irish influence there was massive.

Mine has arrived too :D

OH says that "rap the doors" is now called Parcel Force.

Alternatively there is "Don't rap the doors" - I'll never forget the delivery man who stuck his card through the letterbox but hadn't knocked. I saw him coming up the drive and asked why he hadn't knocked. Answer? Becasue he didn't like disturbing people  :?  Bet he didn't last long!

i have a really loud doorbell. It is deliberate, because the house is a funny shape, so it its hard to hear knocks and queit bells. No idea why delivery men ignore it and knock on the door. I always ask them if the bell is broken. They look very sheepish then.

I have to give an interview tomorrow on the radio  Our staff said they are going to make faces at me through the windows

There were all sorts of press today and Heritage people want me to connect with another project that they feel could use my input
