Nice ones Giraffe. Here's one I heard on the radio (typing quickly before it stops being topical)

Roses are Red
Violets are Blue
I bought you a horse
but it's in the stew.

On a similar vein...

First Findus discovered horse meat in their Lasagnes, and now they've found out that their Spaghetti Bolog-neighs.

Well, you have to laugh - such a fuss about nothing!! Thanks for all of the above
Hmmmmm...... wonder whether giraffe lasagne would come with a ready-spotted topping?

It's not exactly a fuss over nothing. While it's unlikely to be a serious food safety issue, false labelling on food is fraud and is a serious offence.

But all the jokes are great, such an endless source for poking fun.

Let's not get into political arguments here, please. :)

Sorry, I wasn't being political. - well I certainly wasn't intending to be. I used to work for a company that made nutitrional supplements so am aware of some of the pitfalls of food labelling and the need for it to be accurate. Put it another way, out of an office staff of only seven, two were directly involved in ensuring the legality and accuracy of the content and labelling of the products.

This story has certainly been prolific in producing jokes.

Tests on burgers from Iceland have revealed traces of seal meat.
While tests on Findus fish fingers have shown traces of seahorse.
And the French are horrified that their horseburgers have been contaminated with beef.

The Government has been accused of shutting the stable door after the cow has bolted - well, someone said it was a cow...

Not a 'joke' as such but it made me laugh....

There arches under the car park facing The Sage in Gateshead have had massive pieces of art work created in them. No photos available but one was very exotic.

A lush jungle setting - fantastically coloured birds - a beatiful 'native' female face - and in the background a massive stepped pyramid to set the scene.

Floating through the scene (as if being sung) were the words....

The fog on the Tyne is all Mayan all Mayan

C'est Darth Vader qui rentre dans une boulangerie. Il demande quoi a ton avis?

- Trois pains et deux tarte tatins. Tu sais pourquois?

- PAIN PAIN PAIN, TARTE TATIN, TARTE TATIN.

I've got it stuck in my head now. But with the words pain, pain, pain, tarte tatin, tarte tatin. It's driving me demented.

I thought it was a bit more like the (music, not lyrics) intro to "I like to move it" but needs a few more baked goods to finish the line.
