Kickstarter puzzles

#1 Post by Wulfruna » Thu Nov 05, 2015 12:45 pm

Zoe and Hazel are right - let's have the actual discussion about the sample puzzles over here rather than on the facebook page. That is where we can discuss the methodology of the Kickstarter process and how to promote it.

I still think the initial puzzle is fairly straightforward and quite a good example of the style of PB! It only needs a very small amount of research to identify some of the links between the two paths.....

Maybe I should have opened this thread under the "magazine" section below?

It never occurred to me that they might be linked.

That was what I was rattling on about. Those first two that I just happened to find went together! Just pot luck though, for me.

I still only have the right hand side of the grid sorted out.

Does that mean you have some words from each of the two paths? Does that not give you a hint about what you are looking for?

One of the paths seems t be a certain type of word, but I am still struggling.

In one chain I have the first word and then two words from later on.
The other chain I have the first three words and then two later on. I am struggling to find any words on the left hand side of the puzzle.

I've just been told the puzzle has a title which I hadn't realised. It didn't print out when I printed the puzzle. I'm told it is significant when you get near the end.

Don't be so hard on yourself. :)

Would it help if I told you that on the left hand side, the word "COMPUTER" goes over two bridges?
Never put off till tomorrow what you can do the day after tomorrow.
All of my puzzles are simple and obvious. For certain values of "simple" and "obvious".

If you follow on along the path from computer you should find another word that fits together with that (though other words are not directly connected as a sequence). Remember that the second path has a gap where it passes beneath the first path, so that the letter after the "bridge" follows on directly from the letter before it.
