Next edition and 2019 subs

#1 Post by strep98 » Sat Feb 16, 2019 8:26 pm

Can I ask about the next edition of puzzle please. Are these the last of 2018 ones or have I got it wrong?

Also when are 2019 subs due as I need to drop hints to one of the kids to pay them for my birthday present.

Well, I can answer the first bit. There is one more issue due from the last set of subs (which is late, sorry!) As far as I am aware, that is currently in production.

I'm afraid I'm not able to answer the second query - I believe that Scurra is intending to make an announcement once firm decisions have been made. :)

Yes, there is one more set due from 2018 that is running late (but is in the process of test solving now so it's going to be sooner rather than later - depending, of course, upon how many mistakes folk find!)

As to what is happening for the rest of this year - the answer is that I don't know. I don't think I'm going to be able to do a "full" year this time, for all sorts of reasons, which is partly why you didn't get a subscription request at the start of the year... However, that doesn't mean there won't be puzzles or even sets of puzzles at some point during 2019 - I just can't tell you exactly what form they are going to take.

I do appreciate your concern though! :D

Well I will be happy subscribing with whatever form of offering comes out this year. Who knows, there may even be a puzzle I can have a chance to look at.

I agree. It's just important that we have a happy jester, but I'm sure I'm not alone in saying that I would be very sad if the puzzles dried up altogether - however much they cause me to tear my hair out!

I mean, I would continue to be happy subscring to this community even if the jester was away in Tahiti and only sent us a single message all year, like this

I can't see any new puzzles - do you mean on the .com site where the others are or on the forum here? Either way, I can't seem to find anything.

  :D
I forgot to open the forum last night (celebrating too hard after the quiz?!) My excuse is that I could see it, because it's set up that way. I have to remember to specifically make it visible to everyone else!
Hopefully the forum (with puzzle link) is there now...

Sorry but when I go to puzzles I only see the last set. Have I done something wrong?

On this forum, go to Part 4 The Treasure and then at the top you'll see Puzzles, you can download them from there.
