Give Robin Hood a hat but leave the Merry Men hatless? And maybe a brightly coloured belt?
When is it all needed by?

a bow and a green hat and dress him/her in bright green
a boffer sword would probably work as a cudgel

Re: Clever s*ds - help required please!!
Liking the idea of the coloured belts. I was thinking maybe a tabard sort of idea would be easiest. The cudgel should probably be soft (or inflatable) for safety reasons. I think I've probably got about a week to sort this lot out!
Actually, I suppose if I got some GIANT knitting needles, I could maybe do something. Not convinced I have time though...
Why do I take these things on?? Must stop opening gob and putting feet in first.

Re: Clever s*ds - help required please!!
Actually, I have gold spray paint (and silver) lurking somewhere from making Christmas decorations a couple of years ago. I'm just thinking, if I could get hold of some old jumpers (e.g. charity shop?) I could spray the knitting silver for chain mail. That might work.
Good suggestions, folks. Thank you.

spraying jumpers silver would work
http://www.instructables.com/id/The-Laz ... ail-Shirt/
also for chain mail you could buy metallic mesh fabric and use that with a grey top on beneath

That's not a bad idea either.

Yes Knitting on big needles.
Re: Clever s*ds - help required please!!
As used for Monty Python and the Holy Grail. Although the weather while they were filming was so wet the sogginess of the wool made the costumes stretch and sag, so they constantly had to wring them out and adjust back into shape. It must have been extremely uncomfortable for the cast. Although I dare say you're likely having an indoor performance.Scurra wrote:I believe that knitting is a common solution for chain mail, since it's light and moderately convincing.

Anyone got any suggestions of good places to purchase rubber chickens or those arrows that are on a headband so it looks like you have an arrow through your head?

My son wanted to buy a squeaky chicken from Wilkos last week (in the pet section), I also think we saw some in one of the pound shops, again in the pet section.
