I agree with SparkOut in that I got most of these films from the clues given. And also agree that certain obvius films I might get by the director but in most cases it would be by the actors.

Was there supposed to be an "answer" extracted from the elements list, or was the goal just to decipher the clues to make the list?

So, I now have LOADS of puzzles, one hidden in an after eight packet, one that will be found inside a bowl of pretzels, and one which is written on the inside of a champagne label! I spent this afternoon creating a box with a ticking clock inside, connected to different coloured wires and "dynamite" (OK so it's really tubes of sweets wrapped in red paper with wires coming out of the bottoms!) After they've finally solved all the puzzles, they will have to find a key (embedded in a clementine! ) open the box and diffuse the bomb by cutting the wires in the correct order. And they'll only know the correct order once they've looked down a microscope!

Well, I enjoyed making it, even if they all hate solving it!

Just found one little extra which made me happy (because I am such a nerd.) I found a make of pen called a Pilot Frixion, which is not only refillable, but also has erasable ink. But here is the REALLY cool part. If you write something in it, then iron it (or heat it up, anyway) the message disappears. When you put the piece of paper into the freezer, it reappears! So this has now been added to my escape room - they have to put the map into the freezer to find out what to do with it!

Why am I so impressed by such silly things?

It came in a pack of 5 from Sainsbury's and is made by Pilot. They were about £10 for a 5 pens. The brand is friXion ball and it's black with a silver pattern on the barrel. You would never know it does this without visiting the Pilot website. The idea is that it erases if you rub it out with the end of the pen, which isn't actually a rubber, it just creates sufficient friction to create enough heat that the ink disappears. But the flip side of that is that the ink reappears when you freeze it. I think they are basically warning you that your rubbings out might reappear if it gets below a certain temperature!

I've just got a magnifying glass and I think the bar code on the pen is 4902505322709 if that helps.

The friction eraser is OK but doesn't obliterate what you have written 100% But it's good enough to be able to use for e.g. correcting a mistake in a crossword puzzle and writing over it. However, ironing it makes it disappear completely.

Yeah, the Frixion pens are fabulous. It's taken about three generations of development for them to get to this point - the original ones (from maybe a decade ago) weren't quite there but they are pretty good now.
(I still think UV pens are more fun for this sort of thing, but generally less useful.)
