Knowing what those crazy evangelical Americans imagine, it could well be a highly distorted "Jesus" - I have seen worse examples of this phenomenon.....

That's what I thought too - but decided that it was so far-fetched I would stay quiet!

Hey now! I don't want you all to think I'm one of those crazy Americans. I'll admit to being one of the crazy ones, but not that kind.

Now how unfair is this?
Currently BBC iPlayer TV programmes are available to play in the UK only, but all BBC iPlayer Radio programmes are available to you. Why?
Why? is what I'd like to know too. It's BBC for heavens sake!

well its got to do with them being the

Brittish
Broadcasting
Corporation

the normal british household pays a tv licence so we can watch it
so its sort of political when our cousins abroad can freely watch stuff we pay for
that and some copyright stuff :-D

Do the Chinese censor it too?

well i hope not cos i get a similar message from some american sites if they do it means the uk censors the americans
(well that is sensible for some of them.......... such as george bush talking  )

oops sorry thats political......

It's funny, I can see most BBC stuff. that's all.

i think its something to do with specific copy rights of some shows
basically where they are going to try and sell them to foreign markets or other people have copyright on included material
for example lets say a certain bony individual became (in)famous for designing puzzles and they included one in a magazine show but he'd signed away the right to show it in the uk they wouldnt be able to show you it

most of the stuff on the worlwide radio stations wont be effected by this because they are availible allready and have the issues sorted.... ;-)

Oddly enough the same question was asked of the local BBC radio presenter just today - the complaint was from UK people travelling abroad and thinking they could see their programs.

It is to do with licencing of the programs a clvrlad said and the fact that we all pay for it as part of our licence fee (which was the complaint of the travellers  - they'd paid the BBC and wanted to see the shows even when abroad).
