the problem of different time zones

When I come on, everyone is at work. When I'm asleep everyone is online. I end up asking questions in every forum and looking like an idiot because I'll have 4 or 5 questions posted at once.

My hope is that when I wake up in the morning someone will have responded in a helpful enough way to jar my brain when it is at its best-between 8 and 10 am. After that, it just seems to go to sleep on its own again.
So my appologies to all of you who read my dumb questions and odd replies when you wake up in the morning-or in Bunnylumps case in the afternoon

I went to bed, you were here. I got up, you were here. I went out and came back and you were still here!!! Do you EVER sleep?
And I know you are 7- 8 hours ahead of us so I also know what time it is where you are. And often you should be working!!!!!

Sleep seems to be over rated!
Work? it's summer. I have a great boss, I'm not doing any teaching and I've got a wonderful project that I got a grant for (a very large grant) so the uni bought out my hours. The project has been in the planning stages for over a year, I probably over planned so it runs itself except Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday when I actually do work from 5 to 7
On a more serious note, I have 2 windows open all the time on my computer at home, and at work (mostly because I'm too lazy to log off at the end of the day) Twistypuzzles and Puzzlebrains! Now how's that for addiction?

I tend to leave myself logged in, because if I log off I have to log in twice, and that's annoying.

Ok, I'm not that bad. But I do have buttons that go directly to the pages. I had one heck of a time making them though

I have it as part of my set of basic tabs (in a subfolder at the top of my bookmarks menu so they are easy to find) that I open straight away (BBC is home page, but I'm never on it for longer than it takes to go into Bookmarks and tell it to open the tabs). My other tabs include Conceptis, BBC and Order of the Stick online comic.

I know how to change the homepage, but how do you make other tabs come up at the startup? I've not worked that one out yet.

In IE 7 or IE 8 just to the right of the "home" icon, there is a little downward pointing arrow. Go to the site you want to add a startup tab (extra homepage) for and click that little arrow, and it should offer "add or change home page" as an option. Choose the second option "add this page to your homepage tabs" and click yes. When you restart IE and it goes to the home page(s) it will include an additional tab for your new choice.

Yay! That's not a startup tab, but it's in my favourites bookmark list.

OMG they're at it again. Don't know about the problem of different time zones. I'm struggling with the problem of different languages.

depends... if they're all orcish here they might prefer Giggles the Clown, god of slapstick to Banjo.

Don't worry Sis - you've got a timezone all of your own
[For the record, the Stick and the Banjos mean nothing to me either - and I can usually follow these guy's ramblings]
HOwever I'm sure katsmom and I have enjoyed real-time forum 'conversations' and possibly PMs at times... probably at the weekend or when I've had a day off.
