bored!!!

#1 Post by katsmom » Sun Oct 26, 2008 10:53 am

This is insane, I have the magazine, and the handy little writing pad but no pen. I'm bed ridden for 3 weeks and can't get to a photocopier. I don't have a pen for that nifty pad. And can I find a regular sheet of paper in this house?!?

I think this is a plot by someone to make me write in the magazine with a pen no less because I can't find a pencil....so I have to buy another copy. Did someone pm my husband and daughter and tell them to hide all the writing utencils? It must be a conspiracy!

I feel like shooting someone.

Sorry to hear you're not mobile at the moment. Suggest you send husband or daughter out to buy a pad of paper immediately. Tell them that if you can't make a start on the puzzles you could go into further decline, your health depends on getting a pad and pencil.

Sorry to hear you're not up and about. It's not conducive to your recovery to be getting frustrated - so give them a good slap when they go past you next and tell them to sort themselves out. Forget the grapes - what you need is a pen, whole pad of paper, and LOTS of patience! :D Get well soon.

I love it, I'll go into massive decline and have to spend three more weeks in bed being a bear if they don't get me paper and pencil. I'll have to try that. At least he hooked up the laptop to the internet for me.

I think that trick might only work once. But once is enough.

I hope the paper and pencils arrive soon to ease the boredom.

And that the puzzles don't send you into a further decline ;)

Get well soon!

It's monday so my helper was here. I got a notebook, 3 nicely sharpened pencils, and a pencil sharpener just in case.

But my sweet husband also brought home printouts in black and white AND color of the webpage pictures for me. He knows I ws going stir crazy. And that is not a pretty sight!

Is anyone else suffering from SMCB? (Severe Magazine-Completion Boredom)? Couldn't wait for this weekend - first one in ages where nothing was happening, and in between two weeks of many, many concerts, and now I'm sitting here, desperately counting down the days to the possible arrival of the next magazine. ( I reckon 23 days is the absolute best I could hope for, possibly 26 or so).

I've done some washing, knitted some mittens, fed a Christmas cake, been to a coffee morning, cooked and re-frozen fifty sausages (left over from the coffee morning, defrosted, and in serious peril if not cooked immediately).

I have another 3 hours to kill until Strictly Come Dancing tonight. I think I need help!!!!!

You are putting me to shame. I am trying to get up the motivation to go and plant some cyclamen in the garden before it gets too dark. I have just spent half an hour on an almost impossible jigsaw puzzle. It's of Whistlejacket and I have finished the horse so only have the background left - unremitting beige  . The best I can do is to sort the pieces, of which there at least 400 left, into shapes. You could always come over and help me :D

I do need to get stuck into some more of Puzzletown though.

Ah, but would I get there and back in time for Strictly and my Chinese Take Away? (Saturday night is meant for indulging).

You could come and do some housework for me. You could even get my shopping on the way and still be home in time for SCD. Hang on - I'd have to put Issue 2 away.....................

I'm in the same boat. :(

This afternoon I have hoovered the whole house. Vaxed all the downstairs carpets. Washed the kithchen floor. Cleared out the tool/coal store. Spent half an hour hooking up the lap top to the TV so I can watch BBCi/C4 and YouTube from the comfort of the sofa.

NOW.

NOW, I'm bored. Trouble is, if I show it Sarah will find me something to do. There is a curtain pole lurking somewhere that needs putting up. So, I'm trying to conveniently "forget" about it. Ha!! Some hope. Hammer drill at the ready.

MORE PUZZLES NEEDED. MORE, MORE !! :x :x I just suppose I will have to get printing all the Puzzle Town and Tally Ho stuff then.

Get well soon KatsMom.

Cheers. BB

worryingly, I actually could do all that and get home in time, as you live so close. However, if I was actually feeling that way inclined, I'd probably get more Brownie points for doing those things for my mum, who is trying to sew a cassock for my brother in law, and is rather stressed!

Well I did do the gardening. Time for another cup of tea. I suppose I should do the washing up before my OH gets home :(

I imagine that if you live near Gill you would have a bit of a problem getting to me and back again in time for SCD. Maybe another day?

Why? Where abouts are you? I'm in West Yorkshire. Wakefield to be precise, but there's not really much there. Just down the motorway from Gill I think.

I'm on the Surrey/Hampshire border, near Aldershot. A bit more than a quick visit for you I fear.

Not sure I could even locate that without the aid of a map!
