But don't you wish "Hobgoblin willow muncher" was a plant?

I must admit that I'm slightly concerned about how your lovely wife's mind works...

Well it's not as if my mind works on conventional lines either. But her unprintable attempt was pretty disturbing.

My 3 year old Granddaughter was fascinated by some caterpillars that they found on some nettles. So her Daddy made a box full of nettles with a viewing bit on the side with them in. 8 of them turned into chrysalises. She was wildly excited at this, and wanted to ring me to tell me all about it. "Nanny," she said, "We have got a box full of Christmas lists in our kitchen!"

Today we were reenacting the nativity scene to amuse my oldest granddaughter. Grampa was being a shepherd (with white teddy playing the part of the sheep) and E was the angel. I was trying to get her to turn round so I could film her, and she was fiddling with an etch a sketch. I thought she had lost interest - but no, it turns out the angel was sending the message about Jesus to the shepherd on the etch a sketch. Must have missed that bit in the story...

...then there was the shepherd off to the side of the stage staring at his phone. When the teacher asked him to pay attention, the boy said -"but I was just texting the inn to book a room" ...

 She also insisted on having a dolly's potty in the stable. When I sent Dibble the film, he said he was giving the stable a five star rating because of the superb facilities.

Thing is, they can't do a nativity play at nursery, which is just such a shame. They are apparently all singing a song which will be e mailed to parents, but that's just not the same, is it?

Had to laugh today. E told me that when she's big, she's either going to be an engineer (like Daddy) or she might do her work on a computer in her pyjamas (also like Daddy did today!)
