... and from me - hope you've had a good day.

Nice find Sis... I've got to admit I like the look of that better than our rusty heap :(

 Your "rusty heap" is infinitely preferable to our "Phoenix Gateway"

Is that the one that commemorates the fire?

I liked the 'rusty heap'. :D And I'm looking forward to visiting "Another Place" when we stop for the night in Crosby later this year.

Yes it is. Why would anyone WANT to commemorate an oil terminal blowing up?? I would have much preferred it if they had found one of the POSITIVE things about our town. It does have some!! One of K's friends was so appalled by our town being called the "Ugliest Town in the UK" that he's started taking a series of photos of some of the nice bits. Here's one which I especially liked.
Image This is about 1/4 mile from our "ugly" town centre!

I think they were jumping the gun a little. :)

Anyway, Hippo Birdy to the Giraffe.

That's an interesting thought actually. So I wonder if it counts as her birthday then. I had a similar dilemma recently when my ex-boss had his birthday.
He emigrated to Australia in December. So it felt odd for me to wish him happy birthday when it wasn't yet (from my point of view) but rather late to wait to do it when it was, because by then he would be half way through the day!

Thank you all. Nice quiet day planned as I'm off to London with Lally for a few days tomorrow. I'm hoping to Skype one of the absent offsprings later. :) (Assuming we can work out how to do it. )

DOH!!! (Slaps forehead!) I've just realised I missed somebody's birthday. But I can't say who because he's so enigmatic and mysterious. Hope you had a wonderful birthday, you know who you are!!

Oh, and if anyone's wondering, here's a definition which might help:
an intentional time delay during which the rotating tool remains in contact with the workpiece. Dwell is part of the infeed grinding process.

And I had also just realised a certain person's birthday had been missed but I haven't the foggiest idea what your clue is meant to mean Bunnylump! :?

But a belated Happy Birthday to you know who from me too! :D
