Thanks! As well as lunch up in town on the day, about 10 days later I had part two of the celebrations when we went to Brooklands Museum and had a simulated flight on Concorde with real champagne to drink. :D
The whole museum was actually really interesting with loads to see.

I'm jealous, but I would sooner have a real flight on Concorde with simulated champagne to drink. If only that were a possibility.

Oh yes, I'd have loved to have flown on Concorde but this was the next best thing. At least I have sat on an actual Concorde even if we never left the tarmac. :lol:

Oh he decided he wanted to sit in the pilot's seat, I was just co-pilot.
But in a different part of the museum I did press the button to release a bomb! :lol: (It was attached by ropes so it didn't actually hit the floor. ;) )

I sat in Concorde once too. On a school trip somehow wangled, around the time it was completing trials and before introduction to service. We got about 20 seconds inside.
