That's what I thought, Donald disagrees and thinks it's Jim Kerr from Simple Minds.

I must admit that I'm quite enjoying thinking about some of the old songs that some of these people produced! Once everyone's finished guessing maybe we should have a vote on best song per row! :D

3,1 https://i1.wp.com/www.tv80s.com/wp-cont ... C705&ssl=1 Nena, of the 99 Red Balloons fame, not to be confused with Nina Hagen (even though she is Nena from Hagen.)

Wow! Sparkout, I would never have got them in a million years! Do you know, I actually spent ages thinking that Belinda Carlisle ought to be in there somewhere, I totally forgot how much she changed her look! Some of those other ones I've never even heard of! :o

I have been working with the Puzzlebrains -> MIT technique of backresearch (guessing who might be included and then searching for images of that person, scrolling through and seeing if any look like they should be plausible matches). Or a general image search like "80s musician flower pot hat" which produced https://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/ ... Choice.jpg Mark Mothersbaugh (frontman of Devo) - yeah I had no idea either.

I think the pictures are all actual photos that have been posterised with photoshop filters that lower the detail and flatten out much of the colour variation.
I am prepared to believe that some photos may have been used for tracing, or as source image to be copied freehand, but I still think photoshop posterising filters is largely the case.

And I accidentally stumbled on the source for this, and so as of now I am no longer able to take part in the image hunt, except to confirm any that you want to check. While I would have appreciated finding the source in a hunt scenario, I can't see the point of just looking at the list and telling you the answers.

I would love a decent copy of this for my hall wall - the one where I have 4 framed pictures of a certain fish puzzle.....
You can, for USD 45.00 plus whatever shipping from New York would be, for a 16" x 16" signed print.

And corrections:
Row 3,7 is not Michael Stipe and the man from the B52s is not Ricky Wilson
Row 2,7 is not Geoffrey Downes
All the others you have mentioned above are correct.
Dont forget you can include Klaus Nomi and Pete Burns in the correct list.

Gosh, well done! :) I think I will come back to this when I've had a look at some of the new puzzles on here and realised I can't do them...
