I can't get started at all on the Scurra puzzle. I don't think there are any clues that I can tie down to a single answer which doesn't help in seeing what is meant to be going on. Any chance of a starting hint?

I have fixed a couple of errors in the above list (one enumeration and one sequential - thanks Bunnylump!) Hopefully there aren't any others (he says with everything crossed again.)

edit: hah. Another enumeration error (thanks LAT) for Flower / should be (7) not (6)

Well yes.

Most of my first guesses at the most obvious answers to those clues are the wrong length!

Can we assume that these are in alpha order again?

Well, I would hope so, but as we've established over 15 long years that I can't count or spell, I wouldn't rely on it.
