but being nice
yes the rope is strong enough to hold you and a bag of holding can safely hold about 250 lbs of stuff so could hold a person maybe two but if the bag gets pierced by say a big poison covered spike it will rupture and pop you out into the spikes......

some ones asked a question in pm and im going to respond partly here

its for extra info about certain things
if you think i havent told you something you need to know ask....
either by pm or on here for the first scene do it on the thread as every one can get into the swing of things then
(mind seeing where MBH swings do we all want to join him on that rope upside down ;-)

the question specifically asked about any chairs etc which there isnt and about the postion of the pieces on the chess board....

well since your looking closer at the board.... you see
the attached file
but of the table it self
the chess board is engraved into its surface
it has a pedastal leg decending to its base which sees it expand into a three toe foot aprox 2 feet across the table top itself is aprox 4 feet in diameter and is circular.

Is any team still in need of members? I'm not desperately bothered if you're not, but thought I'd volunteer in case people were stuck without enough. Not sure what help I'll be, but I'm quite tall, so if you could stretch me a bit, you could maybe swing from my ankle while I grip a table leg?????

Can you drop the bag of devouring open end down onto the spikes, so that it devours and area of spikes, to leave a clear landing spot?

I think I have a photo of Fernando somewhere in a very similar position.

Let's get this rope and rod sorted out...

First try opening each bag upside down and seeing which one the rope and rod drop out of.

If that gives no luck, then strip off a bit of material from some clothing - pop it halfway into the white bag and close the entryway. Open it back up and see if the material is un-eaten ;)

Either way of working it, I hopefully now know which bag is which and have the items extracted. :)

If you're looking for us to make progress - should this have been a PM? Or shared on the thread?? :?:

EDIT!!! Hey - Fernando... what a team :D

What you can't see in that picture is that he is working on a page of the runes! He was trying out a different angle on one of the puzzles I think.

anyway since you have turned bot upside down
ill start with the black bag as you open it and turn it upside down pushing the back to turn it inside out you hear what sounds like something heavy falling out of it then moments later a quiet pop

but you cant see anything on the floor

when you do the same with the white bag
out falls a coil of hemp rope and a red stick about a yard long with a small button on the end ;-)

is that what your doing giraffe?
No! She's just asking the question.

GENERAL NOTE TO PLAYERS: In these weird worlds, asking 'what if' questions tends not to work - to find things out you've got to try it. If the 'bag drop' attempt was made (from 50-feet) then the result would be told to us but the bag would then be at the bottom of the pit.

its quiet realistic really :-D if you did throw something into a 50ft pit wouldnt you have to go down and get it to do it again ?

that said i am going to be lenient on this first scene ;-)
but you will notice if i think you havent thought through or checked with your allies what you want to do i will ask is that what you are doing or words to that effect ;-)

.... and if we could do that then we wouldn't be puzzling about how to get down their with all body parts intact

Good point regarding the 'checking' information. Casual words are dangerous. If someone says "I'm going to test for invisible steps by stepping off the edge", then........ SPLAT!!! :x

Sparkout - Have we got a second team around yet?

I think there's me, Scurra, LAT and we'd be glad to have Laura in the other team. If you're the Swingers, perhaps we'd best be the Cutters? Nah... we'd never... hang on... what's Scurra up to over there...?

Group PM pow-wow everyone?

I have accepted MBH's invitation to go with the swing, but you won't find any bat like pictures of me around. Sorry, I didn't know you wanted it posted on here. I expect Kingsley will be in too.
