To student Scurra, the Buddha will be delighted to receive the kumquats, but is rather averse to kiwifruits.

Student SparkOut is less successful, as the Buddha does not receive well home or away, indeed where neither transit or travel is involved.

Buddha's worthy words: hard, kumquats, dinghy, paddle, fluffy cat, smooth snake, deliberated

Buddha's tiresome timewasters: easy, kiwifruits, home, away, transit, travel, juice, smoothie, curry, naan, fish, chips, raft, creek, fluffy, cat, smooth, snake, Twisted Evil, good, evil, short, long

Buddha's pleasing puzzlers:

Dear student kathlyn, I'm sorry to have to tell you that the Buddha favours neither juice nor a smoothie

The Buddha is clearly not in a receptive mood at the moment, as curry, naan, fish and chips all fail to delight his palatte!

May i ask whether the Buddha likes to travel by dinghy, or does he prefer a raft?

Well it seems its the other way round, as the Buddha would like to travel by dinghy, but he does not like the idea of a raft.

Would the Buddha be keen to have a paddle for the raft, or would he like to stay up the creek? (Notice that I am employing due deference because there's a deity involved, and didn't mention the nature of the creek).

The Buddha is very insistent that he would not like to be up the creek at all, but he would welcome having a paddle just in case!

As for the fluffy cat and the smooth snake, he would heartily greet both of these (although it has to be said that if smooth or fluffy were less specific, or if the snake or cat did not have these attributes then they would not be welcome.

 - Twisted Evil - Buddha definitely doesn't like that! He would much prefer it you all deliberated further, but he has said that if we get to the top of page 16 he will consider some further enlightenment.

Is it possible that the Buddha isn't in fact, good, but has an evil side?

The Buddha transcends both good and evil, and finds neither necessary for enlightenment.

The Buddha further wishes it to be known that the two words he has proffered himself as examples, along with one other, are in fact more pleasing to him than the other four so far offered and accepted.

Might I enquire if Buddha has a preference for short words rather than long ones?

Regretably, the Buddha finds both long and short unacceptable, but he did tell he that the idea of a long creek was particularly unpalatable. :)

I have noted the buddha's dislike for a creek. Does he have similar distaste for a brook? Perhaps he prefers a fast flowing river?

Has Scurra extended the length of this page?

perhaps a chocolate eclair would suit your palate rather than a chelsea bun

Oh Master, you did say that this lesson would be "just a little" more difficult than the previous one, didn't you?
I would humbly enquire whether the Buddha would feel that greasing up with lard may help him to slip his shackles and feel liberated, or whether he thinks that would just be slimy and he'd still be fettered

Student Giraffe's suggestion of brook and river are both unacceptable I fear, the latter particularly so.

Student kathlyn fares better however, as the Buddha is pleased with both the chocolate eclair and the chelsea bun. In fact he is rather partial to chocolate and to the occasional bun, and loves chelsea (although he wouldn't want an eclair on its own).

Our learned student SparkOut does even better however, in correctly asserting that the Buddha likes lard and liberated, but is not keen to be slimy or fettered.
