I can't seem to get beyond
As Happy As A Dog With....
but the phrase I have found is 'with two tails' and 'with four legs' doesn't seem to express the same joy :?

As Happy As A Dog With Four L........ is good!

I guess this might be a bit more "slang" than "well known phrase" but what do you know (male) dogs do, and where? (Maybe in America it might be 4 F... H.......)

Mind you don't prick your fingers when you do.

(For a long time I was making a mashup in my head of "Down the hatch" and "Without Blood or hindrance")

(Blood being clearly wrong, but it wasn't working as was. And still never on the right lines anyway)

Yes, your go!😉 It was dress the halls with boughs of holly.

I have stopped doing that now, since I discovered how toxic holly berries are! Also, it has the added bonus of being able to hold on to the bannister without injuring yourself! 🤣

Oh gosh. A place for everything and everything in its place?

Just don't look at my house.

I'm not sure I actually have a place for everything, let alone everything in it.
I really do need to do some sorting.
