Worker bee?

That comes up again and again in cryptic crosswords.
Speaking of cryptic crosswords, here's a thing I just found out that I didn't know. When there is a hidden message in a cryptic crossword (e.g. around the edge, but sometimes in diagonals or reading across) it's called a NINA. Apparently it's from Al Hirschfeld (1903-2003), American caricaturist, who was famous for hiding his daughter's name "Nina" into his drawings.
Today's fascinating fact.
Re blue hedgehog fever tree...
how many blue hedgehogs can you name? And do you fancy a gin with a little something?

Blue hedgehog fever tree is, of course, the correct answer without alteration or twisting in any way. Who says it doesn't rhyme?

Thanks. I always thought a bumble bee was a species of bee, I hadn't realised it meant a worker bee.
And thanks also for the explanation. As soon as I posted the query I did wonder about Sonic. I had forgotten he was blue.

Well, I don't think it is. I'm just lazily clueing bumble as a generic kind of bee.

I expect that Jester is muttering into his beard about lazy clueing...

After spending a while wondering which McVities' product rhymed with Christmas I have come to the conclusion I was barking up the wrong tree
Is it Festive digestive?

It might be what we're having on 25th Dec if nobody's allowed to come here for dinner. Really not sure I can be bothered with all of that turkey nonsense for the two of us!

Well I hope you both have something rather more exciting than digestive biscuits and pot noodles this year!
How about
Animal article (8,7)?

Yeah, how about it? Ages thinking "outside the box" from account to utensil.
Then I opened the box and found a Creature Feature.

Well, it's probably obvious once you know the answer...

Tea-estate country (10,6) might be clearer. Or palm-oil estate. Frinstunce.
