Missing letters
OK so do we think it's time for another game? How does this grab you? You need to post a word, then the next person has to add ONE letter to it to make it into a new word. The added letter can be anywhere in the new word, but the original order of the letters in the original must always stay the same. Eg
POT
could become
SPOT
but equally
POET POST or PORT.
Yes, it could become POTS but that's a bit boring.
Then I shall fully expect Scurra to use this thread as a puzzle resource.
If it gets boring I might add in another layer whereby you get points for the number of letters you can add in WITHOUT changing the order. But let's see how it goes for a bit first.
I'm starting with
SALE
EDIT Having tried this out, I now realise that a far better version has evolved.
The idea is to make a new word, using the letters of the word posted by the previous person, but KEEPING THEM IN THE SAME ORDER. Thus GREEN might become AGREEMENT. Then that person should post another LINKED word to their new answer, eg NOD. Play passes to the next person, who has to make a new word using NOD but being kept in the same order. E.g. ANDROID This should then be followed by another linked starter word, e.g. ROBOT.
I hope that's as clear as mud.

Re: Missing letters
OOh I see either I didn't make myself clear (one letter per go then post a new word) or you're all being clever devils... Chazzie could you give us a new word please?

Re: Missing letters
well phew! I was struggling to think of the next word to offer.
Re: Missing letters
Unstapled was the only one I could think of, but it has one too many letters. (Is it even a word? )

LIABLE
The flaw is that there is usually not much choice as to what letter you add and lots of words are impossible to follow.
It would be better to just have to think of a longer word with the letters inthe same order
