I should be so lucky. No sane woman would have him. I was looking at him earlier on, he'd just got up (2pm) and was sitting playing the piano and singing some song from Shooting Stars about living in an old people's home. He was dressed in tartan underpants and nothing else, and had hair which looked like Sideshow Bob's from the Simpsons. Like I say, quite a catch.

Well I know what the answer must be but I'm stuck on
'Father's surname' and 'Great great grandmother's house location'

Re: A little puzzle - what's it about?
Ah, that'll be because I am an idiot and wrote that one wrong. It should say FATHER IN LAW'S surname. I've changed it now. Sorry.
And the Great Great Grandmother's home location is not a specific town, it's a more general place.

Trouble is that everyone has quite a lot of Great great grandmothers. Eight isn't it?
Still can't find the correct surname either.

Aah, think I have the house location now, just the surname which is confusing me.
Re: A little puzzle - what's it about?
I can't find the surname, and "Has two of these" could be anything.

Re: A little puzzle - what's it about?
Right, as this seems to be completely confusing people and it was only supposed to be a bit of fun, this is what you were intended to get.
Oldest son's first wife Diana
Has two of these i (as in Elizabeth II)
daughter Anne
Sister Margaret
Father's surname Oldenberg - Philip's dad was Andrew Oldenberg of Denmark
Husband's age Ninety
Nephew David
Youngest grandson James
This relation left his job Uncle
Home Buckingham Palace
Great great grandmother's house location Isle of Wight
Youngest grand daughter Louise
Third oldest granddaughter Eugenie
Youngest son Edward
Reading down the first letters of the answer should have revealed DIAMOND JUBILEE.

A better second clue would have been:
Youngest great-grand-daughter ((Isla))

Yeah, I liked the original - possibly because I got it!
Re: A little puzzle - what's it about?
Not really part of this at all but not worth starting a new thread
My daughter went to a party yesterday where the invitation said come as something beginning with R
She bought a tiara from a toy shop (ages 3 and up - she is 26) £2, found a baby doll at a charity shop £1, and borrowed my dressing gown.
Can anyone guess what she went as?
Hint - it is a concept rather than someone specific.

What would have been even better is to have waited another 9 years and just answered "no"
