Christmas maths homework (for 11 year olds)

My friend's son was set this as Maths homework. I thought some of you might like it.

It reminded me of a puzzle I wrote ages ago about various utility workers visiting houses in a street...
Never put off till tomorrow what you can do the day after tomorrow.
All of my puzzles are simple and obvious. For certain values of "simple" and "obvious".
