When I wrote the puzzles for 'Hoard of the Rings', I intended it to be a print issue. As such I also wrote a couple more puzzles, with the idea that the extra puzzles would all be named after gems as well. The 'Diamond' puzzle became the Closing Ceremony puzzle, but one puzzle was not used.
The puzzle is called Pearl and is a 'connecting wall' puzzle. Here are the words:
CRYSTAL GLENDA RUSTY IVY
MARINA RUBY ABIGAIL BUFFY
ASHLEY HAYLEY DINAH EVIE
GOLDIE CORAL NORA SUGAR
Can you work out the four connections?
Hint: The title is also a clue!

Re: Pearl Puzzle
Well, I can see a potential set of wedding anniversaries in there, and have a vague recollection about there being aNora and a Glenda in Last of the Summer Wine, but other than that, and without googling, I can't get any more. I expect Buffy is something to do with Buffy the Vampire Slayer, which I have never watched.
You're only given a little spark of madness. You mustn't lose it.

I thought that Buffy, Goldie and Dinah might be 3/4 of a set of pets
I'm also trying to make a set of witches

There's no point in having a last minute if you don't use it!
