Thanks!

I think the answer to the next one is Stroud.
According to a review on Trip Advisor it's a nice museum but don't expect much! Others were all quite complimentary.

I think it's your go, LAT... :)

Yes.

OK, here goes. I hope I've worked this out properly

My first's seen in Harrow but never in Crewe
My second in Harlow and also in Looe
My third is in Bedford and Derby and Derry
My fourth is in Dover where you catch the ferry
My fifth is in Exeter, also in Ware
If you look in Thurso you'll find my sixth there
My seventh is found in Henley and Neath
My eighth is in Hove but not Hampstead Heath
My ninth is in Clacton and no, I'm not barmy
My whole is considered the home of the army.

Unfortunately for me, the last line rather spoiled it. :(
Very nice construction.

I don't know, although to be honest there aren't many words that rhyme with "barmy"

Ah well, it's all academic now. I shall just have to try harder if I ever do another one.

Yes I know you did, and thanks for that. But I could still try harder not to spoil it another time! :D

It certainly took me longer to write than it took you to solve!

When you have a great answer like that I think it is a crying shame that the places isn't famous for making Salami ;)

Don't be put off LAT - I'm wondering what our Evil Jester is going to make of my puzzle trail on the Newcastle Key-side... bad spelling has it's place in some of the clues
