Here is one of the "extra" puzzles that the hunt organisers gave me as I left (they didn't have time to fit this one in.) If anyone's got a Scooby what to do with it, please let me know? :D

Well the first page has got a bunch of icons that are references to things like Google (and Google+), Facebook, Amazon and Twitter.
The second page requires us to place four locations on a map, plus we are given a "home" address; these would perhaps match up to the five rows of "boxes" on the first page?

However, since the "home" is at grid reference (6,25) I can't see anything immediately that would make that work. (Although it looks as though all of the locations are constrained to within a 26x26 space which may clue letters?)
Never put off till tomorrow what you can do the day after tomorrow.
All of my puzzles are simple and obvious. For certain values of "simple" and "obvious".

Well, I got as far as spotting the Google / amazon / facebook connection but then couldn't see what on Earth I was supposed to do with it...

In other words, you did have a scooby what to do. :D Since they are clearly the key to figuring out what to do, then starting from there is relevant. (I don't recognise the "checkout" icon in the bottom left - the one with the actual words "add to cart" on it - I thought Amazon had "add to basket" on their button? And one of their icons is in the bottom right.)

Errr...no. I asked if anyone had a scooby what to do with it, actually. If we're being pedantic about it, which of course neither of us would...

I really don't understand how we are supposed to get addresses from that. The only other thing I noticed from the first page is that (if you take it as 10 boxes)
1. Has nothing in it. 2 has Google (without the goog) and amazon (without the aaz)
3. Facebook 4 Not sure
5. Prime is to do with Amazon and the little thumb looks like facebook. 6 Amazon
7. Nothing 8. Twitter?
9. I've Googled #whatadeal and that seems to be something to do with Instagram?? 10 Don't know.

But you didn't say anything in your original post that suggested that you had even done that. Mind you, it's a good technique to get other people to say stuff and then say "well, of course, I knew that, that's obvious." :D

the #whatadeal is probably meant to be a hashtag so it's related to Twitter.

The "view one more comment" symbol is bugging me - I thought it was from Disquis (which is a commenting system for websites) but I'm not so sure now, especially since there seem to be multiple examples of the other sites. It doesn't look like anything from G+ - is it Facebook?

The view one more comment is facebook.

Are we only looking for four though? Amazon, Facebook, Google and Twitter?

Looking at the home tree thing it is on 5, 25 Could that represent Ebay. E--Y so could we then put Amazon at (1, 14) Face book (6, 11) Google ( 7, 5) Twitter ( 20, 18 ) But the last one is the only one that is on the lines (roads)

But the house is on (6,25) not (5,25). I did like the E-Y suggestion though!

Yes well the whole thing didn't work.

How will we know what the answer is or when (if) we are right?

Yes, it probably is. Let's forget I posted it. I just thought people might be interested, that's all.

just an idle comment which may or may not be relevant. I think Amazon .com uses cart rather than basket.

The only one I don't recognise is the 1-click but I assume as it is shopping related it's amazon.

I make it 5 amazon bits, 3 google bits, 3 twits, and 4 Facebooks.

No idea if that has any relevance.

If you take the co ordinates of the first and last letters the other way round the three that weren't on a road before are on a road. But twitter then isn't.

Well I think we will know when we've got the answer, because it will be a word. (I will stick my neck out here and guess that the word might be DASH!)

What do you mean it will be a word? We are looking for a route to the addresses aren't we?

Also can you go any way from the tree, or only straight up?

The instructions say that we should take note of the length of each step of the route. That would give us some numbers which may (or may not!) be convertible into letters at the end. (Although having written this, I realise that will give us five letters and not four. :))

I would guess that we could start by going left/west from the tree (since that leads to a right turn) but not right/east as that would lead to a left turn and we're not allowed those.

But does going left count as turning left?
