This thread is becoming full of references I don't understand. :?
One of the contestants on Bake Off this year referred to her big knickers as "applecatchers. "🤣

OK, how about:

I see these puzzles are either "solve in a few seconds or get stuck for a week" but rarely anywhere in between...

That is so very true. 🤣 However, it is hard to understate how unusual it is for me to spot one of yours that fast! I think I need a lie down! 🤣

I've been wondering what large knickers have to do with baking. But then I haven't watched bake-off so it's highly possible I don't know how the show goes.

On the plus side I have now worked out who Lauren is. I think I'd assumed the phrase came from a Harry Enfield show.

Do I watch the wrong television?

Not sure where to go for ideas on this one, the location, the eruption or the emission or somewhere else. If it weren't an uninhabited island, I would feel a bit less reticent about suggesting volcanic panic, but that's the best I have at the moment.

It is definitely related to the volcano and what came out of it! 😀

Yes! It was a mushroom plume.

It was fairly spectacular, TBH!

I think I might have that one as well but Scurra obviously got there first so I'll let him answer it. :)
