I can't stop thinking there must be some merit in the rhyme of all yawl, but there's no way I can bend it to shape, so I should stop thinking that. But I can't.

Never put off till tomorrow what you can do the day after tomorrow.
All of my puzzles are simple and obvious. For certain values of "simple" and "obvious".

Ahhhhhhhhh, the &lit indicator in clue 1 should have made this more obvious. But I overlooked it anyway. I usually really like self-referential clues. Including this one. :)

Indeed. I was mildly amused when I thought of it, but was then (as usual) surprised at how tricky it actually was to see the answer. :D

The point was that "For every boat in the Americas" was in itself a clue to the word Peru. Therefore it was a Peru Clue.
