Re: The things kids say
C (aged 22 months) today in my living room:
"Echo! Play "I'm a little Lizard" by Nick Cope"
followed by a perplexed face and "Nanny, it doesn't work!"*
*We don't have Echo or Alexa or Google Home of any of those other things! Don't you love technology?

You're only given a little spark of madness. You mustn't lose it.

Re: The things kids say
I had to laugh at this comment from an ex-colleague yesterday...
Today’s title for my year 7 lesson was,
‘Who was Joan of Arc & how did she affect the hundred years war?’.
Within seconds a student asked,
‘Was ‘he’ related to Noah, sir?’

What I'd like to know is how your ex-colleague replied!

He didn't say. But someone else commented "You've got to love the class clown!" and his response was that the boy was deadly serious!

Re: The things kids say
At the cathedral, getting a bit festive by listening to all the local primary schools singing and acting the nativity story... youngest grandchild (2) hears a baby crying at the back and asks, in a REALLY loud voice:
"Is that the baby Jesus?"
"Is that the baby Jesus?"
