Re: Today I've mostly bin...
Today, I've mostly bin eating pizza. No breakfast, no tea, just a huge pizza hut buffet for lunch. Haven't really been able to do much since then. I think lions have the right idea - eat a huge meal then curl up in the sun somewhere and sleep it off.
Re: Today I've mostly bin...
Sounds good!
Re: Today I've mostly bin...
And they even get the lionesses to do most of the tedious hunting work too. Now that's the way to do it. <runs away and hides - but probably not far enough away>Laura wrote:I think lions have the right idea - eat a huge meal then curl up in the sun somewhere and sleep it off.

Re: Today I've mostly bin...
I'm ignoring that comment.
Well. I know this was technically "Yesterday I've mostly bin..."
...going down to Guildford to collect my daughter who (and I promise this is the last time I show off about her) has just found out she passed her degree, and got a 2:1. She will now be a Bmus(hons) YAY!
It was my OH's 50th birthday too, and it was so nice - we found my daughter having a celebratory lemonade ( she doesn't drink unlike her mother) with all her uni friends who had also done well. They all sang a rousing chorus of "happy birthday" to my husband, which made his day.
THEN (cutting out the 3 and a half hours of sitting on the M25 whilst the air ambulance landed and they shut the motorway ) we took her home. We had bought her a little car which was a surprise. Watching her face as we drew up to the house, and saw it sitting in the drive all covered in helium balloons was something which will live with me forever. She did an actual "comedy double take" just like on a cartoon, said ..."what the..." "Is that...for ME??" then OMG OMG OMG etc, and finally "and I REALLY REALLY need a wee!" I videoed her doing it and it was absolutely classic. I would post it on here but I expect the file would be too big.
Brilliant.

Scurra - I'll let you off with that one because it's 100% accurate
Well done to the young bunny, and best wishes to Mr Bunny - we'll get to see the video somewhere.
Today I've mostly bin...
....getting my bycicle back to being roadworthy after finally digging it out of the garden shed a couple of weekends ago (when I was too knackered to post on this thread). I'm not a cyclist, don't like exercise, but if it is there and ready to roll then there is a slightly better chance of me getting on it to go the 1-mile return trip to the local shop.
Not feeling brill flaked out this morning and slept when I should have been doing things - that usually a sign I'm not well.....

Thank you. It's lovely to have some reflected glory. Fortunately my offspring are a damned sight more focussed than their mother!! SEE I did them a huge favour by being a useless layabout, didn't I? Children will always rebel against their parents...
LAT's daughter next? Fingers crossed, LAT?

Re: Today I've mostly bin...
Today i are Mostly Bin... SCREAMMMIINGGG in agony, coz of the sunburn I got on Sunday on my last day on hols in Egypt. I had been a really good boy all week, lathering on the factor 500, and staying out of the sun until about 4:30 pm (when it gets low enough in the sky to be bearable for an hour or so). Until yesterday. Last day. 12:00 (midday) BB says to Sarah, "I'll just have half an hour in the sun before we go. Except, I forgot to put on any sun cream. 15 minutes later I said to Sarah, "Wow feels a bit hot (it was about 38 deg C, as it had been all week), I think I may have burned a bit". Sarah says, "hmm, you do look a bit pink". By the time we got to the airport at about 3:30 ish I had gone bright crimson all over and my tummy area was a mass of blisters. Agony. Anyway, got home about 1:30 am, went to bed in agony lying on my back without any sheets touching my tum tum and, one of the cats sits on me. Needless to say I think I must have woken up pretty much immediately. Anyway, today my entire torso is a mass of blisters from top to bottom. NASTY.
Anyway, when it all settles down, it's probably going to make a good foundation for Spain in August. Haa!!!!!
Cheers. BB.

Re: Today I've mostly bin...
Waaaaay beyond Ouch! That's horrible.
You've probably done it by now, but may be worth the doctor seeing that - if it's blistered you don't want infections getting in as it heals.
Got 3-part puzzle for you - Oh member of the PuzzleBrains community:
1) What is about 93 million miles away and hot?
2) What does excess heat do to meat - including the human body?
3) Who's a silly boy then???

Re: Today I've mostly bin...
Ouch! Have you tried lavender oil BB? It really helps burns. (Every time I say that I realise how stupid it looks to be recommending oil for a burn, but honestly, it's brilliant).

Re: Today I've mostly bin...
Yes BB I can vouch for bunnys suggestion of lavender oil. It's excellent for burns and sunburn. It will heal the skin in no time.
It's one of the few essential oil you can use neat. Do a skin test first, to make sure you don't have any reaction to it, the inside of the wrist is a good place. It keeps bugs away too.
