This post above {oops - previous page} is NOT an adendum to the magazine is it???? Where do I start with this one?

Highbury famous for it's Cemetary... linked with Scurra's Cat which is either an anagram or a link to the Egyptian cat gods????

Me - Cracked??? Never!
I'm saying nuffin.

...walking in the park with loads of kids (in the rain) to the shopping centre for a bout of accosting grumpy old ladies to do shopping surveys (in the rain), trying to keep sodden 11 and 12 year olds interested in the cathedral while the lady droned on about Saint Alban interminably whilst dealing with a disabled boy whose neck had gone into spasm and another one who had split his knee open, then another walk back across the park in torrential downpour, and managing to catch a pupil which had been shoved by another into the lake, had half an hour of racing around the Roman museum and stopping one of them from walking on the mosaic floor, then going back out into the torrential rain again to wait for the bus, which had gone to the wrong place and was 3/4 of an hour late. I think I earned my money today. I can feel a stiff drink coming n.

What! Teachings an easy job. All that mmoney, those long holidays......

Don't youo just love kids though? If there is trouble to get into, they will get into it. And three of them will do different things all at once!

Sounds like you deserve the drink!

I personally have been scaring my pupils today. I keep saying things like 'Two weeks tomorrow' and they just go into mad panic (that's when the show is!) I love having the power!!!

He is so absolutely gorgeous!! What a beautiful baby! He looks like a little pixie. :P And so lovely to see the proud parents too. Thank you so much for posting these Eirian. Made my day.

P.S. Has Uncle Scurra done his babysitting yet? If not I'll have to have stern words.

He is so lovely eirian, thanks for sharing the photos with us. He looks really alert, do let us know if he solves the puzzle. :D

Sounds like a horrendous day bunny, hope you've had that drink.

We went to take our two out for lunch now that they have finished their university exams. We normally would have gone up earlier in the term but didn't want to give my son another excuse not to study. Heavy rain en-route each way but luckily not too bad while we were there.

...the Cemetary is at HighGATE (and worth a visit!) - Highbury is more renowned for its football ground ( :( for non-Arsenal fans) or for the open space known as Highbury Fields which is just down the road from Scurra :P

Scurra's cat may well be an anagram (any offers?) - but I can now reveal to a an expectant public that she has indeed been granted a truly Egyptian name befitting her royal status. She is no less than Hatchepsut ('Hatch' for short) who is famous for being the only Egyptian queen to make a claim to the full status of Pharoah, (royal daughters normally just passed on the title to their husbands). The temple she built in around 1450BC near Luxor and the Valley of the Kings is one of the great wonders of Egyptian tourism, as I discovered for myself about 10 years ago!
Such a royal name is certainly fitting for a gorgeous pussy cat who demands constant attention from her suffering slave .... not much question about who's the boss

Hatchepsut = push the cat?

Not that I do any cat-pushing. Lions are big and heavy and dangerous, so pushing Rangwe is out of the question.

Unfortunately it's hard to babysit by remote control when you're 200 miles away! Besides, we don't want to frighten the poor little mite out of his wits just yet....... :o
However, no doubt Uncle will be just as besotted as the rest of us once he sees him for real :P :P :P

Oh, I didn't realise he hadn't been up yet. Scurra, get your skates on. He'll be a teenager before you know it. And I just know you'll be totally besotted. I can still remember that total heart- stopping body blow when I met my first niece (brother's oldest) for the first time. I was totally unprepared for my strength of feeling, before that I didn't like babies much! :D

And anyway, being the slave to an Egyptian Queen is not a good enough excuse for shirking babysitting duties. :D

I am having an extremely frustrating day waiting for someone to come and fix my window which cannot be shut and therefore cannot be locked so the house cannot be left unattended. The hinges are broken and I have been told they are not in stock but may come today. So I have had to take a day off work :o

Not only that but I also flooded my neighbour - I did not realise my dishwasher was leaking - got it fixed now :o

So I am trying to concentrate on these puzzles and tearing my hair out....

Oh Tricia - what a nightmare. Why is it that there is always more than one problem to deal with at a time? Hope you get them all sorted quickly!
