And in case anyone's interested, yes, I am dancing about the living room to that one. On my own. Pass the medication someone, QUICK.

Dream Angus

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ejl0AKJgEDw

I love this lullaby. I learned it at primary school, and used to sing it in the "special" choir (the ones who could sing in tune!!) and my hippy headteacher strummed his guitar to it. We learned nothing traditional (like maths!! -that's why I hate it so much now) but learned some cracking songs, an appreciation of folk music, an interest in creativity (crafts etc), a talent fro creative writing and a fascination for the living world. At the age of 8 I remember being allowed to go out on my own from school to a local dell to study the flowers and berries. I also did wonderful projects on swans and squirrels as I recall!!! My, how things change!! It's all literacy hour and numeracy hour now and all the other things (music, art, geography) get crammed into about half an hour at the end of the term when the teacher realises they haven't covered it yet!!
