An 'interlude' from me. I caught the last 5 minutes of the Radio 4 show "The Odd Hafl Hour", and they must have been reading THIS thread (or one like it).

The scenario is somebody trying to sing to a Karaoke machine (while someone else messes about with it). It took a while to write the song he sang down, but here are the lyrics... you'll need to fit the tune(s) in yourself:

So now the end is near
and so I face the final countdown
the final count
down the waterfall, wherever it may take me
I know this
life from this monstrosity.
Easy come easy go, will you let me go?
No! We will not let you go
walk out the door,
just turn around now,
'cause you're not
welcome to the Hotel California
Such a lovely place,
Such a lovely face - the final curtain,
Oh! My, my, my Delilah
Why, why, why - M. C. A.
It's fun to stay a the Y. M. C. A - Jude
Don't make it bad - bad, I'm really really bad
And the whole world has to ansewr right now
To tell you once again Who's Ba - ba ba,
ba ba-ba-r an' Now, the end is near, and
I am sailing, I am sailing
Home again, too few to mention
I did, what I had to do - a diddy diddy dum diddy do
There she was just a walk - 500 miles and
I Hoe silver lining anywhere you please
Oh, baby. I see the su-mmer days drifted a-
way to Ammarillo
all night long I'm each and every byway,
and more, much more than this,
I did it my - my Miss American Pie
Took my chevy to the levy but the levy was dr-
y way

It actually make the sad music geek in me want to go and arrange it

Great song MBH, I worked out where most of it came from but have a couple of gaps.
