I don't want any, but we haven't had any as yet here in sunny Devon.

We got some this morning, sadly not enough for the school to be closed. Even more annoying, I didn't feel confident enough to drive there (it's up a nightmare hill and the car park is like a skating rink). So I ended up walking in and back. Yes, it is only 6 miles but with a day's work slotted in the middle, I'm kn****red.

Same here..... don't know why Devon seems to have escaped so far - plenty of chilly frost but not a single flake of snow

Where I work there was a light covering. It snowed off and on all day but the snow never seemed to get any deeper, although nor did it disappear. Eventually I headed for home with my OH suggesting I park in the village rather than drive to the house (unmade road with virtually zero traffic) and I wondered what the fuss was about as it is only about 8 miles away. Then I got home to find our road (and garden) under about 4 inches of snow.
Now I have to wait to see what tomorrow will bring as I do need to get to work.

My husband (who normally does air conditioning, but is also qualified as a gas fitter) is getting loads of callouts as all the different boilers decided it was all too much. He didn't get home until about 8pm last night... Just hope MINE doesn't give up!! (That, of course, being the only one which never gets serviced!!)

Yes, I haven't had mine serviced this year. I did try and arrange it recently, but the phone was taking messages only and my chap has never got back to me.

Doesn't seem much point phoning him today - we have at least 10 inches of snow and it's still falling.

Another 5 inches of snow fell here overnight (Derbyshire) on top of the 5 inches that was still here from last Friday/saturday night/morning.

Husband couldn't get to work. I've been out for a walk and to take photos.

A short while ago a Jay visited the bird feeders not seen one of those in the garden for ages and ages.

It's just started snowing again!!!!!!!!! :(

Got about a foot in Lincoln and more falling every now and then.

The school closure report on Lincs FM this morning took the announcer about 20 minutes to read out. They would have been better off anouncing the schools which are open.

The thing I'm worried about is the oil for the heating. We are down to about 50 gallons on the meter and I am very unsure how accurate it is. I'm going to ring the supplier and just hope they can get through sometime soon.

My husband has just rung to say he's sent everyone home from his office before it gets dark and even colder. He was supposed to fly to Ireland tomorrow, but that has been cancelled too.

The youngsters here are in their element. 4 of them carried a kayak up the hill, the parents of those with sledges are supervising the kayak run. Loaded up with youngsters and set off downhill with an adult "wall" for protection either side. Amazing!!!

No snow fell here overnight but it started falling again at 9 am and the sky looks as if it's full of it!!!!

Husband went to word and said main roads were fine just our country lanes which were diabolical. If it continuies to snow he said he'll leave work at lunch time.

Been snowing here all morning. The main roads weren't too bad when I took the children to school, and it only took an hour and a half compared to yesterday's 2 hours. (K has exams, so we aren't relying on the bus to get there on time, probably a good job since it was running very late when I passed it on my way back yesterday)

I'm a bit worried that I might be snowed in if it keeps this up for much longer, as our road is already two or three inches deep from what fell yesterday, and we don't have any passing traffic, apart from the four houses beyond us.

We still don't have very much here! Just enough to be annoying but not much fun.

The incredible has happened. It has snowed in Budmouth Regis. Proper snow, about an inch deep, not the fleeting blink-and-you-miss-it flurry or the three-millimetre deep 'hard frost'.
To prove it, I took a picture of the back garden.

OK so the good news is that in Greenland it's a balmy 3 degrees Centigrade... 8-)
