Thank you all for your kind messages and for all the lovely cards, too! :D I've had a great day so far (even if I am ancient now). We went to Kew Gardens, which was lovely. Particularly impressed by the orchids in the glasshouse - they have to be seen to be believed! I've walked and walked (am now kn****ed!!) and when my daughter gets home I'll get to open all my pressies and then we're going out for something to eat. When we got back from Kew I found presents in the porch, and an enormous pile of cards on my doorstep!! :D :D

Now here's the best bit: LADIES, BE ASTOUNDED...
This morning, before we went out, Donald HOOVERED the house. :shock: :o :o :o :lol: (I think he was after Brownie points!! :lol: )

I got one card which made me laugh. It said "now that you're 50 - go for it!! Inside it had a pop up balloon saying "10 today". It then said "Since life begins at 40 you must now be 10 years old"! :lol: So that's it. I'm 10 today. Yippee! :lol:
