And nice pic Bunnylump, you look great.

Big glass of wine when you get home LAT? Hope tomorrow's better.
x

Having said that, I've just had a big glass of wine (felt like I'd deserved it after working, then digging out the strawberry patch, THEN going and doing a week's shopping AND getting the tea). I just woke up.

Nice thought but no such luck. By the time I was done I had been the only person there for over an hour.

It's always the same people who take things too personally and complain about everything, but won't actually stand for committee and do it the way they want to do it :x

Just got back from delivering a present to a friend (it's her birthday) after a day's work, to be told I'd said I'd go to see K's friend's class of primary school children singing at Alban Arena this evening. WHY did I say "yes"?? Note to self: practise saying "No"!!!

...But I have to say, they were very sweet, and actually (considering they were all 11 or under) were for the most part very good too. EVEN the recorders and dreaded violins were pretty tolerable!!

You make that sound as though it's somehow a bad thing. You know "found out my great-grandfather was a Frenchman!"

It does somewhat  - but I dont mean that. I am a mixture of Scots, Irish and English - Unfortunaely because my Scottish ancestors hail from Skye the number of records prior to 1760 are poor, as with the Irish line. It is a delight to find more of my Engilish relatives because they have not moved very far from one small area in Sussex and I can trace some back to 1690, so now that I have found a few more it is exciting - especially as it turns out I was born only a few miles from where it all began! I am hoping to find a Welsh family member - I have also traced some to America and Australia.I thought we were a small family but have now found 440 ancestors :D

At one point it was looking possible that my husband was related to the man who inspired the character of Desperate Dan. Anyone who's seen him will know how funny that is...

Careful what you say, Scurra - your great-great-grandfather was a Scot - literally - his name was Mr Scott

... spangling my bobbins (trying to teach myself to make lace, anybody out there can help me please) hope the new mag arrives soon as goodness knows what other daft hobbies i will try.

And Tricia, I too am part Scots, but I have hit the illusive brick wall as some of my lot may have come from Ireland and my gt gt grandmother changed her name with every child born    but when she had gt grandad her husband had gone to Australia over a year before so she gave the child the same name as his father only I can't find any exsistance of a reputable bookseller with his name in Dundee ever! hence brick wall.
