Went to Hatchlands Park this afternoon. The bluebells there were absolutely amazing. A carpet of blue with sunlight glinting through the trees above.

It's been ridiculously hot here today. And I stupidly decided to do some gardening. Tried to get the weeds out of my half barrel, and the whole thing collapsed, soil, weeds, wood the lot, all over the flagstones.

Ridiculously hot here too. (In the 90's again)
(I need a suntanned smiley. K was a bit
earlier in the week)
Another really good day out, this time at the Kennedy Space Centre. Quite amazing what they achieved in the 60's when you consider how primitive all the technology was then. We were looking out for aligators on the way back when we nearly ran over a turtle that was sat in the middle of the road. Saw a bald eagle's nest too, which we were told was as big as a king sized bed!

It's been boiling again today. And I was...in Mum's loft dragging boxes out of the filth....
...fun all the way.

And there I was, thinking that seeing the Apollo 10 capsule at the Science Museum this afternoon was quite interesting.
(I went to hear a talk about Yuri Gagarin which was fascinating.)
Never put off till tomorrow what you can do the day after tomorrow.

Well I missed the sun today as I was at work until 6.30.
Still I'm hoping to catch some over the weekend.
May I come out and join the giraffe family? Your holiday sounds wonderful

Make sure you take a look in that big 'pool' just outside the space center. I remember seeing hundreds of turtles and an alligator or two in there every time we went. I envy you your trip home
The way my travels go and with all my family in the cold cold north, I'll be retired before I get back

sounds like a fab holiday, Giraffe!
.... playing in the garden. Poor Thomas managed to trip up and get his first grazed knee. How he's lasted this long without one I'll never know, but I suppose he's been wearing longer trousers before now... the hazards of shorts!

Aw, poor thing.
I've been...in the loft / house from hell, clearing junk. Can't believe the things they've kept - eg receipts for purchases of coal from 1959, Do it yourself magazines dated from 1964-9, scintillating books such as "Screw thread sizes" "Gas Chromatography, a history" etc. But the good news is that my brother found his Corgi tanks, and I found the teddy bed my Granddad made for me when I was tiny - all dovetailed joints, headboard, made of oak!!
House looks like a bomb has gone off in it and I'm covered in cobwebs!

Sounds as though you've been busy Bunny, and the Giraffe family are having a great holiday. Today apart from trying toi solve a puzzle I've been out in the Garden tidying up - and making sure it is looking nice. Our Dutch friends arrive next Saturday and we are going to Fort William. Hope the weather is nice

I suppose once your brother had found his truck you lost him for a while and found him playing with them in an empty room? I have found this happens when men (sorry lads not meaning any of you of course) are supposed to be clearing anything out especially the shed!
