Re: Passing the time
I liked the turn toward the door. Walk 2 metres. Go through the door.
Re: Passing the time
In that case - being a feeble female I would want to know where the lifts were! Perhaps they should have 2 options those with and without luggage. The possibilities with this are endless .... Is there a marketing potential for puzzlebrains? If you managed to get out of the station then you are obviously good at puzzles - here's a free copy of past mag????clvrlad wrote:well if i had a heavy bag on wheels id want to know

Re: Passing the time
I ALMOST commented that the details about the steps etc. might be aimed at helping blind people. But then I realised that they wouldn't be looking at photos on the internet...

Re: Passing the time
It asked me on the previous page if I could cope with steps, ramps, manual doors and lifts. So all eventualities are covered. I was tempted to go back again and say I wanted to get somewhere without stairs and doors.

It's even got our local station on there. There are only 2 platforms and two entrances! But the route still has 12 photos.

Re: Passing the time
It certainly looks good but I've just tried Leeds to Kings Cross twice as I'm doing that in the next month -and I'm pretty sure there is a right turn where there should be a left.
Unless of course they've shifted the platform numbers since the last time I did that route................

Re: Passing the time
You'd be surprised. A well written website will have 'alternative tags' on picture areas that describe what the picture is showing. Specialist screen-reading softward can the say whatever is written. [Unfortunatly putting this on takes 'human work', so it often gets missed outBunnylump wrote:I ALMOST commented that the details about the steps etc. might be aimed at helping blind people. Re: Passing the time
Actually, I knew that if I had thought about it. My blind friend uses it. It was because of him that I'm so aware of how important it is for blind people to know things like "how many steps there are" and "walk two metres and then turn left." (Not that I'm much help there, because I can't tell left from right...

Just an article, but with some good observations about things I have mentioned in the past myself...

Re: Passing the time
Oh a colleague mentioned it at work but I didn't get around to looking until now.
Just told my son who said he was quite glad he didn't discover it earlier - or he might have wasted a lot of time on it!

Here's a nice relaxing little puzzler.

Just click on the hexes to rotate them and get all the lines to join up correctly.
Note that it probably won't work in "older" browsers (like Internet Explorer 6), sorry.
