Now that really would be funny if you lured another unsuspecting innocent into the fold while on the way to see your previous victim. :D

And a ford. And a falconry centre. And a Roman Villa archaeological centre close by.
And a ruined castle, and Lullingstone Castle (which is more of a stately home but has mostly been converted into apartments) which has a park and the World Garden, and the Hop and Lavender Farm, which sells all sorts of lovely stuff, and four pubs, three of which serve food.

Leaving the pubs aside (!), you're now going to ask me which ones I've visited in the 10 years I've lived here. Well ... we sometimes rehearse in the ruined castle when we're doing outdoor shows ...

Anybody else a possibility? At this stage it is still a case of "please save a ticket for me". Commitment and payment is likely to be needed mid to late September or reserved tickets will need to be released to be sold elsewhere. It seems we are aiming at the last night which is likely to be the most popular generally but later enquiries may still be OK, although they will probably not be able to sit with the rest of us.

So far I am assuming me, Looby, Gill, MBH, clvrlad, Bunny?

Who else?

Haven't really looked into this properly but I'm hoping to be able to come all being well. Just as long as I can travel with someone.

Thoughts about accommodation will follow soon.
I am also thinking about what else to suggest we do, there is plenty of choice (see comments above) so does anyone have any particular requests?

Am I just asking Dramaticat to reserve us 6 tickets? If anyone else might be interested but doesn't want to declare it publicly please PM me and/or Dramaticat so additional seats can be set aside before tickets go on sale to general public and we find we can't get enough seats together.

I'm thinking of staying in London on the Friday night and travelling in on the Saturday to stay the night after the play. Heading back to London some time on Sunday. I'm more than happy to travel with you and keep you safe (and distracted) on the train it we can sort the timing out between us ;)

This means if there is other stuff happening on the Saturday afternoon or the Sunday morning/lunchtime then I can play :)

You may come to regret this offer, MBH. I'm pretty manic at the best of times when nervous (poor Bassbloke was a bit gobsmacked, I think, when he first met me, I was on a proper roll for the first 10 minutes... ). On a train I'm likely to be either silent or talking non stop. There's not much in between... Anyway, thank you for the offer, I'm still to-ing and fro-ing on what to do. I have also had a very kind offer from LAT. I do wish my brain would work. I've been on holiday for two weeks, and so totally shut off I can't think straight!

I have reserved some tickets for my Puzzlebrains friends. I see that we are already selling well for the last night, and as most people prefer to sit in the middle of the auditorium, your seats are in rows G and H towards the back. However, the front two rows are still free, so if you would prefer to sit right at the front, just let me know! I know it's not everyone's cup of tea though.

I will have some details on local accommodation, things to do and transport for you in the next couple of days.

Rehearsals are going well and are good fun. Some cast members have learned their lines already [polishing halo icon] :D

You've learned your lines - after saying them only once? Very impressive

Anywhere suits me for seating - it will be good to 'go to a show' with a group. My usual visits to the theatre are on my own.

The information on travel and lodgings will be welcome - a cheap, clean B&B is all I usually look for.

Edit: I found this website hoping for information but didn't get very far. [Have the sound on]

I don't mind where I sit but just be warned I will probably laugh a lot and put everyone off.

Generally, laughing at a comedy is seen as a good thing you know! It's when the audience don't laugh that you start to panic!!!

Allo Allo

Sorry for not posting any info sooner, but I've been struggling to meet all sorts of deadlines these last few weeks!

Ticket prices are £9 adults and £7 under 16s.

Here are details for purchasing tickets:

Credit card
I can take your order over the phone - 07704 279948. I am hoping to have the phone on regularly from tomorrow afternoon - weekdays: 10am to 6 or 7pm (depending on whether it's rehearsal night), Saturdays - variable during the day (mostly depending on when I get up!) If those times don't suit you, PM me and I can arrange to have it on one evening, or phone you if you let me have your number.

Cheque
If you prefer, send a cheque made payable to Riverside Players to: Devonshire, Pollyhaugh, Eynsford, Kent DA4 0HF. Please enclose an SAE if you want the ticket sent to you. Otherwise I can have it for collection on the door.

I'm sorry I can't offer you online booking, but as I have blocked the tickets from sale, I have to unblock them before you can buy them!

Details of the production (and other stuff about the group) are available on our website: http://www.riversideplayers.co.uk

Allo Allo

Train times

For those of you coming by train, a full timetable can be found here: http://www.firstcapitalconnect.co.uk/st ... ES_WEB.pdf

Friday evenings
Until 9pm trains leave every half hour from St Pancras International - you need the Sevenoaks line. They are a bit more frequent during rush hour.
After 9pm trains leave every half hour from London Victoria - again you need the Sevenoaks line.

Saturday and Sunday
All trains leave from and go to London Victoria - again a half-hourly service.

Please note: the last train out of Eynsford on Saturday evening is 22:38.

If anyone is coming by train, PM me and I can offer advice if needed. I will also pop up to the station a few days before to check if there are any changes to services because of engineering works.

The station is a comfortable 10-minute walk away from the centre of the village.
