The Master looks kindly on fusspots as he understands their plight.

The Master looks very kindly on fragglegiggles but I suspect that you knew that already...

I'm starting to wonder if it's something to do with the numberof keystrokes required on the commputer before you get to the double letter, as long as the doubled letter is not a vowel and occurs on a day of the week with an even number of letters in it.

Master, I'm not sure that I am entitled to ask again, but I will stick my neck out to rival the giraffe. I think I have finally understood your teachings. It seems that I need to have both a double consonant in all words, and as many parts of the letters underneath the line as possible. I apologise for the lack of clarity in my explanation; my weak and feeble mind has been not been flummoxed however it may have been jiggled

I extend my congratulations to this perceptive student. That is indeed the other aspect of the offering that I was looking for. A double-letter that hung beneath the line was especially good (hence eggs right at the beginning.)

All hail the new Mistress.

Thankyou, student LAT, or should I say Mrs. Noddy? I am slightly concerned that your relief may be because you know that my teachings will be both "simple and obvious", to quote a famous phrase... But firstly I must commune with the Buddha, possibly snuggling up with him in the recently vacated pit of despair, for a session of meditation before I present my teachings.

Hmm, is it just me or has this mantle shrunk?

Your lesson for this morning is, as I have already hinted, both simple and obvious. Stretch towards the light, dear students and your path will be true poetry. However, bad karma is the alternative path to darkness.

Buddha's best
TRUE POETRY POOR WERE TO UP POPPY

Buddha's worst
BAD KARMA SIMPLE THINGS ADDITIONAL AGGRAVATION HEADACHE APPLES BANANAS SIMPLE OBVIOUS TWINNED WORDS EACH INDIVIDUAL STRONG WEAK FEAR CONFIDENT GOURMET ASCETIC DEAR CHEAP EVERY ROSE DANDELION

Esteemed master - or do you prefer mistress - may I offer that simple things would please you but additional aggravation would give you a headache

As but a humble student once more, I would like to ask the Master's opinion of these apples and bananas?

(I would also like to observe that, regardless of what others may claim, my rule was also perfectly simple and obvious. They always are - after the event.... :D)

I would like to suggest that being obvious is a good thing, while being simple may not be?

Ah - a Sistress who is now a Mistress 8-)

Could I enquire from your first example if they are twinned words that are acceptable together, or is each word individual?

I apologise, dear students for my delay in replying. I have got labyrinthitis, and every now an then I can't remain anything other than horizontal.*

Poor Looby - I laud your enthusiasm to learn, but sadly the simple things do indeed cause additional aggravation, therefore a headache is unavoidable.

Scurra - I am afraid that your kind offers of apples and bananas were unsuitable for my purpose.

Laura - although the answer is simple and obvious, simple and obvious do not reveal the answer!

Brother MBH - each word would be a jewel of insight in its own right, or when paired together. However, twinned words are each individual ly incorrect in this case.

*If any of my students suggests that they had heard this about me anyway, I may have to speak to the Buddha about them sternly.

Learned and Garrulous Master, might I enquire if the Buddha prefers his followers to be strong or weak?

Thinking of recent threats, does the esteemed purple one live in fear, or is she confident?

Mistress o' the Purple, would we be surprised to learn that the Buddha is a bit of a gourmet and not much of an ascetic, and that he would prefer to spend on the dear stuff than save with the cheap?

My dear students, I am saddened by your efforts thus far. Could it indicate that you have been staring out of the classroom window, or thinking about worldly matters?

LAT - Although my conviction is strong, to be strong is, in this case, weak.

MBH - I fear that you are over-confident in your response.

Dear SparkOut - even the ascetic gourmet appears cheap in this context.

However, look up, my avid learners, the path to enlightenment will soon become clear.

May a humble novice, approaching for the first time, suggest that every rose smells sweeter than a dandelion

Supersleuth - it is true that in the world of the mortal, every rose may appear to smell sweeter than a dandelion, however, the Buddha would prefer the delicate form of the Poppy.

I am striving for enlightenment oh learned one and wish to enquire, if there were to be more than one Buddha would there be a preference to be a Twin rather than a Triplet?
