We did take rather a lot of wine to the hotel with us didn't we!
You see you needn't have had the room to yourself - the hotel chap was convinced you weren't wasn't he?
I think poor SparkOut (who I had met for the very first time that afternoon) was somewhat alarmed too. I don't usually invite strange men into my bedroom, honest...

 No, I'm saying he was "strange" as in "not familiar". It is me that is strange, as we all know only too well.

...Finally admitting defeat and getting antibiotics. Got to work late (because of going to the Doctor) and had so much work to do that I have only just got home and didn't have a break all day.

Got in just in time to find that my boss had allocated names to our new offices. She's called mine HO. :o :o She said it was to stand for Hazel's Office. I don't think she thought that one through very carefully...I've been called some things in my time, but NEVER that...

Am I missing something? :?
HO to me would mean head office. They have obviously realised your importance. :D

And I'm glad you've got the antibiotics. About time! I can stop nagging you now. Just make sure you take them - all of them! ;)

I'm guessing it depends rather on whether the O is capital or small.

Anywhere else i'd say leave it, but in a school? Kids don't need any encouragement!

They already think I am married to one of the maths teachers and that I am the mother of the head of history. Oh, and some year 7s think I have the hobbies of potholing and parachuting. Kids will believe anything you tell them.

Just giggling at the idea of you parachuting down a pothole.
Whereas the truth is so much stranger.

Been out to a leaving party for two colleagues. One of them was, sadly, the only man in my department, who has been absolutely brilliant. They have decided to retire early and move to the south of France. All right for some...

It was nice though, they had a really good turn out and their daughter sang for them. She had a lovely voice, and it was a nice touch.

You know, it might be quicker for you to tell us when you aren't going to a party, Bunny.
Never put off till tomorrow what you can do the day after tomorrow.
All of my puzzles are simple and obvious. For certain values of "simple" and "obvious".

I've been booking a holiday for me and my daughter next February. And I did it almost entirely from Nectar points. :D
