We seem to have gazillions of Great Tits in our garden. We always used to get more of a mix (blackbirds, thrushes, robins and that kind of thing), but I'm getting woken up every morning by "teeee- cher, teeee- cher". I like birds but I could quite cheerfully shoot them because they wake me up at stupid O clock every morning...  We also have LOADS of those luminous green butterflies. No ladybirds, however.

We often have lots of ladybirds in our kitchen, they must be breeding somewhere that we haven't yet discovered.

It's Maisie, she's invited her family round for tea... (Having had my tea at LAT's once, I can definitely recommend it!!)

I must admit that I look at ladybirds with new interest these days. These was one sitting on my rotary washing line today and I found myself creeping up and counting the spots  . I got to 16 before it flew off :D

My breeding days are over, but I'm partial to a bit of tea.

I sincerely hope you crossed your fingers and touched wood when you said that, Maisie!  A friend of mine said "I finally got round to clearing out all that baby stuff I have had in the loft for years and years!" One month later.. guess what?

Had a hectic weekend, with three visits to a music festival, two concerts, and my mum visiting. This morning K passed her driving test, but came back as white as a sheet, and a complete gibbering wreck. She's still trying to work out how she passed. This evening yet another concert, which was very good, but I could have done without it. Tomorrow K and I are off to Manchester and tomorrow night F's school has it's concert. I'm totally shattered.

So, Giraffe, I guess you'll be the gibbering wreck now once she starts driving herself to all her music events!

Maybe we should introduce Olly to my Maisie

I'm so busy I'm hardly getting a chance to look in on you all and find out what you're doing. Hope everyone's well - and big Contrats to K - now she can start to learn properly ;) [Welcome to the real world Kiddo] :D

Oh, Giraffe. Even seven years down the line it still worries me when B drives anywhere

Me too. K told me at the weekend she nearly turned her car over in a lane last week - she was probably driving a bit too fast and suddenly came across a car coming the other way. She swerved into the hedge and her wheels went up the bank. She said she felt both the left wheels come off the ground. :? Still, she says she is now driving MUCH more slowly down the lanes, so that's good, especially as she drives down narrow lanes every day to get to work. Fortunately, Dibble hasn't yet learned to drive. That just doesn't bear thinking about - he's dangerous enough on two feet!

Oh, by the way, the Ancient Greek outfit went down very well, the people who were running the day asked her where she'd bought her outfit, and said it looked very authentic. 8-) They made clay pots, ate Greek food, made mosaics, set up an apothecary and ground up spices etc. The kids had a great day.
